Though Camaro owners, by nature are more modest, and try not to FLASH OFF THEIR CAMAROS (hint, hint ). So the chances of seeing camaros is slim...oh, who am I kidding? The Camaro will own the roads 5 years or so after it's release! muhahahah!

As long as there is a considerable difference between a neutered Camaro and a power-packaged one.

We all know that it will be at LEAST a 3:1 ratio of 6-cylinders to 8-cylinders on the road...so as long as my beauty can outshine a 6-banger, I'm happy.

Customization, that’s how you differ yourself from the crowd…

Bah. I see more "customization" in the 4th gens RS and no-trim Camaros than the Z28 and SS models on the road.

And 99 times out of 100 it is utter crap and an embarrassment to even look at.

Wheels, trim, hood, badging and color schemes....they should set apart the real cars from the toy models from the factory.

I'll leave customization (tasteful and subtle) to separate me from the other Z28/SS models on the road, but I want Chevy to handle the differences between the models.

Just my pipe dream.

Beh, what do mean “Beh” what are we sheep? I don’t remember saying “install your crap magnet on your new Camaro and drive down the tacky isle at your local auto parts store”… I’m on the same page; clean, cool, customization that separates you from the rest…

the bottom line is those gay assed lil V6 cars keep the muscle car in existance. because of the volume of sales and fuel economy standards set forth by uncle sammy.

I don't care how many they make. or how often i see one.. none will be just like mine

I think that you will see a TON of V6 Models, that will be the staple, if Chevy does not make a lot of them then how will it survive, Ford made 250,000 a year with 3/4 of them V6's (not factual, just a guess so no attacks). I am guessing that GM will make and sell just as many camaros as they did in previous years, ther in the business to make cars not collectors items. Like Shelby, Saleen and Roush, they are limited production cars.

I and going out on a limb here but I would like to see the following, V6 Base (240hp), V8 standard (400hp "Z28 & 425HP SS) and a super camaro limited production (500-600hp) (like GT500). But by 2011 there will be just as many camaros on the road and there are mustangs today. and I can't wait to add one to my stable

I believe that 3/4 of Mustangs are V6's...just count during the week - Fog Lamps = V8, no fog lamps = V6...

hmm Z28 = 400, and SS = 425 I wonder where that number difference was derived from...
^^^^ But I agree.

Actually, I believe there is a new option package called the 'Pony Package' where you can get the fog lamps in the grille (only way the Mustang has any personality imo, thus a 'must have' option) of the V6.

You are right about the pony package giving fog lamps for the V6, but you can still tell the difference.

The fog lamps on the GT are larger and more plain looking. The fog lamps on the pony package are smaller and there are more chrome accents in the grille.

I thought there might be a difference, but wasn't positive.

It may just be me, but it seems like you do see a lot more V6 Mustangs out there "acting" like they're fast than you see V6 Camaros...

I cant lie i had a v6 mustang for 6 months and i was one of those j@ck@$$es that thought i had a fast car. I had to try because that was the car my dad could afford after he took away my 69 Camaro a week after i got my liscense. its probably a good thing because if i would have kept driving the 69 i would still have no liscense and there would be one less restored 69 camaro in the world. now the 69 has a nice life sitting in a controled environment out of the hands of a crazy teenager only getting ocasional drives on sundays. he will still not let me drive the car and im literaly less than 24hrs away from being 21 years old. Im so glad i found my truck and got away from being a v6 mustang punk. i belive that in order fro GM to sell 100k to 150k units a year there will be alot of v6 camaros running around. that is the only way GM can make money off this car. sadly that is why the camaro/firebird took a break in 2002. GM could not make enough money off the declining sales of the v6 to make up for the cost of the v8's. I belive that the camaro will live for at least another 35-45 years because they have learned from there mistakes if you can call them that. so i belive that there will be a bunch of v6 camaros running around. the only difference is the top v6 camaro in my belief will have close to 300hp i dont think GM will get close (10-20 hp under 300) because of insurance purposes. however if you think a 2009 camaro even if GM goes 260 hp at the wheels for a v6 will only be 40 hp short of a 2005 Mustang GT/(whatever they call it today) thats quite a performance gap no matter how you look at it. I believe that if there is a bunch of V6 camaros running around so be it, if it allows the z28 and ss (or even the super camaro?) to be affordable to the common blue collar worker so be it. if it is good for GM then surely it is good for all GM and Camaro enthusiasts.
