I have the Flowmaster cat back right now and was also thinking of adding Kooks LT's in the spring, but I have a feeling the Flowmaster's may be too loud for my liking. The Flowmaster's sound great, but at freeway driving around 75-80 in 6th, the drone gets under my wife's skin..

I also would like to get any info on this set up...ie: drone, noise, etc...

I have a feeling that will sound nasty and loud. I have JBA shorties with the stock cats and AMT's. It's fairly loud. If I go with non catted mids I KNOW it will be LOUD.

Kooks headers come with the O2 extenders that you need.

Id say my Flowmasters and not so loud under normal driving conditions, but sound nice at full throttle, looking to add the kooks headers. hear my track run at:
just flowmasters and intake.

I had a lot of drone till I added the Helmholtz pipes to it.... now no drone

is yours a full 3" , or does yours neck down to 2.5 at the end of the converters to accept the cat-back then step back up to 3"?

I added my own 3" inlet / outlet converters and cut off the 2.5" section of the flowmaster kit so that mine is a full 3"

No it's not full 3". It's steps down to 2.5 where the fm cat back starts... Thought about going to an exhaust shop and have them cut that out and weld in pipes to make it full 3". Notice any change in sound when u did that to yours??

I'm gonna have to check into the Helmholtz. Never heard of it...

Do a search in this forum for "helmholtz" its pretty cool.

I cut off the 2.5" section when I installed my headers so I have no comparision except that yours sounds exactly like mine. mine might be a hair bit louder because of the 3" section
