That thing is all kinds of sick.

I would hardly call it a street car though.

Meh, my car could run the 1/4 faster. So long as I get to cross the start at 125 mph. Which would require the removal of the speed limiter in my car.

Fastest street legal car, making Chevy proud!

http://www.autoblog.com/2010/09/22/v...off/#continued

Summary: Guy drives a 1966 Nova with a twin turbo 565 BBC making 2300hp 1200 miles across 5 states to race at 5 different tracks and knocks off a 6.95 @ 209mph.

Must be street legal because he has to drive it to each of the 5 tracks in 5 different states! Maybe he changes gears for the road trip. Must be nasty on gas!!!!!

The only thing I see that wouldnt be street legal is the tires, which can easily be changed. Why would you think its not street legal?

yeah, it's a 66, so the emissions don't have to be up to standard as newer cars.

I couldn't tell you personally without having seen the car. All I am saying is that if a cop wanted to be a dickhead I am sure he could find a few things to ticket the car for.

My main point is the car is far from a street car.

I have seen 6 second drag radial mustangs go 220 mph after being driven to the track. I hardly call them street cars either.

Cool vid and a amazing car. My only beef is the driver drinking a cold one towards the end. Hope he didn't throw that down before hitting the track. Not a good mixture given the HP of that thing.

I am all about throwing back a few cervezas....just not while driving whether at the strip or on the street.

Really....

What you don't know is what may have been had off cam.

I have seen it first hand at the track. It is irresponsible and pisses me off greatly.
