Blue Bowties

Does anyone know where I can get blue bowties?

Berger had one on their yellow Camaro at Camarofest. They said they'd sell me a blue bowtie for $60k and give me a free camaro, but Im looking for a little better deal than that...

I have a SW camaro, and I can't decide on the flat black, or glossy black.

Anyone have any pics with both? Would be a great deal of help.

I did my bowties myself. I went to a sign shop and he gave me a scrap of sparkly blue vinyl for free. It is big enough to do the bowties about 3 more times if it falls off. Been on for over a month, that's at least 8 washes, no problem!

i was going to go that route. but a friend of mine who did the vinyl option started having problems in the texas heat. so i opted just to do the painted ones.

Dang! I was just thinking about white too because my SS bading is white and I have silver rally stripes. Could look cool. I was liking the light blue because that's what is on a lot of the older chevys.

Just go pick up some wave blue metallic paint and do it yourself. The cost is minimal and it'll look awesome. Just need some tape to tape it off and voila!

Both work great. Just remember.... prep prep prep. Do it right the first time.

BTW the blue bowtie and SS do look really good.

I did mine tonight, vinyl cost me 2 bucks for flat black...didn't come out perfect, but for a first shot at it, I think they did good, I will get some pics tomorrow once the sun is back up. As others have stated though, DIY 100 bucks for a bowties bleh...try 10 bucks for a can of spraypaint and some tape....

Thanks for posting dude, it looks AWESOME. Where do I buy vinyl at, if you mess up can you just pull it off? I've never worked with it so I don't know.

Most any sign and banner store will have the vinyl. Yes, it will just pull right off. The technique is to start in the middle so it will lay down, then slowly press the vinyl to the edges. The vinyl stretches just enough to lay flat.
This is a VERY easy mod. If you can handle an exacto knife, you can do this. The way the bowties are designed, the exacto follows the indentation around the gold part and cuts it perfectly. Just use a new blade and you won't have a problem.
