So tomorow I gotta head to work for a little bit and put a couple salters on and replace a hydro line on a plow and hopefully thats it then all I need to do is bolt on the lights and front bumper and wait til dark if its nice out. Then hit up a couple car washes. I dont usually car wash but its the worst case scenario to make sure the lenses dont fog up.

I also wanted the parking light to only light up when it was signaling a turn. The halos will be parking lights. So I cut the tab off the bulb that works the dim filament so I didnt cut any factory wires and if I ever want to go back I just need to install a new bulb.

What projectors are you running?? You can also install better projectors into the RS model or the eagle eyes headlights as well. The eagle eyes I believe are halogen projectors and there fore focus more on foreground lighting when HID is installed. There are many different options for projectors even on OEM vehicles.

Daytime cutoff pic. Ill get better ones tonight.

When the switch is in the first click the halos are on and only the halos. After winter I will rewire it but its pretty much stock controls right now. The HID is the DRL for now.

Thank you. And yes. I agree although the size halo almost snapped right together with the shroud it worked perfectly. Now that its together I wish I had gotten a little larger halo although I like that you can see the entire thing. I think Im gonna pull it back apart over the winter and flip the halo so the part that doesnt light up is on top.

Great job! I guess the halo's could have been a little bigger but it still looks great. Might be worth picking up some head lights sets. I know some people have sold them after they swapped theirs out. If I had an extra set I would send them off to you so you could do me up a set hehe. If you ever went to sell a set hit me up.

Man....didn't realize you started a new thread after the other one got closed.

First off....NICE JOB! That looks great and to be a true HID! Now that you've turned me on to it I'm more aware of seeing the true cut-off lines.

For me, I would want to do basically what you have in post #8. I would want it to look as close to the factory of the Halogen as I could get. I wouldn't even care about having the Halo lights. I didn't buy the RS because I liked the looks of the Halogen housing. Looks more like a First Gen Camaro to me.

Now...one thing that would super cool is if you could find a way to diasble the DRL for the non-RS which is basically the headlight. Or....if it had to have something maybe you could make the Halos be the DRL. That would be pretty sweet.

Here is a question I do have. From the videos I've seen and even part of your post it talks about aligning the bulb. How can we do that if you do the install and ship the bulb to us? Isn't the bulb alignment somehting you do before putting the light back together?

The other thing....can you show some pics on how the ballasts wire up and or where they are located?

What about it being a Bi-Xenon? Did you wire up the high beam actuator as well?

You definately need to find so me headlights so you can do an exchange program. That will keep those of us that have the car as a daily driver from being down so long.

As far as price....you have to look at how many hours you have in labor and then of course the price of the parts. Once you have an idea then you have to think of a price per hour you would like to get. Or maybe you would decide on what you felt you would be happy with making. Would you be happy with $200 or $300? Then you have to add the parts....about another $300 or so. So maybe $550 - $600 turn key? You might have to do a few on the cheaper side until you start getting the intrest going. Just throwing somehting out there.

Subscribed.....I'll ask questions as I can think of them.

Hmmm....not sure about aftermarket. See what a new set costs from the dealer? Maybe GMPartsDirect.com or something? Maybe a junkyard? Surely used OEM have to start popping up soon.

I'm working on getting my brake calipers powdercoated over the next few weeks but after that it might be time to get real serious about this.

Another question....in the first pic on post #8 you don't have the shroud on an of course more of the halogen housinng is visible. Is the shroud manditory? Or does it just look stupid without one?

I like the idea of the Halo being the DRL. I bet there are a few non-RS that would like that option as well.

I think if I go this route I would consider just selling my current HID kit to help recover some of the money to put towards this setup.

Here is one Headlight and I'm sure the other side can be found as well. $100 by the time you get it. So....$200 in a set of OEM lights.

Ok. I found a way to make my DRL harness so I dont need to cut any factory wiring. Please dont discuss money or paying me to do this type of work til I become a sponsor. I dont want to loose this thread again.
