Sorry, to be more clear. I understand in theory but not the mechanics of it but in general the answer would similar. Shifting will be accomplished by more of a pivoting than tapping.

Sorry no videos at this time but I will see what I can do although they won't be very exciting as shifting from down-shift to up-shift only requires a movement of the thumb of about a 1/4 in. If you're not familiar with the original design it can be seen here. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100021

thanks, you've peaked my interest with this one.
Now that I have had the shifter in my car for a bit I am finding it to be more comfortable. It feels good to the hand both shifting from the top as in my photo's or as a pistol grip. Shifting in both positions are always done with the thumb. I will try to put together a video or some pics in the near future.

Thanks,I still have a few details to work out but am fairly certain the list price will be around $269.00. There will be an introductory sale when released. As it stands I think the standard color will be wrinkle black grips with polished base and center. Where as the "grips" are removable many color options can be applied. I am hoping to have a finished unit by the weekend, I will post pics.

I was hoping to have pic's of a finished unit tonight but I'm held up waiting for bushings. Good news is I have been working on a unit that works by tapping the shifter and it appears that it will happen sooner rather than later. Will have an update this weekend.

By no means will this outdate either of the others. It's about options, some may prefer the pistol grip with buttons, some the new one I'm working on as mentioned above or some may be like me and prefer the original design. All are of excellent quality and have their own features but none are outdated.

A deposit is not required, your name is on one. I will be offering a group buy or introductory sale on these if there is enough interest. I will post details soon and start a list your name is on top.

cool deal. everytime I drive my car my hand is sitting on top of the shifter. it just gravitates to it out of habit. this mod makes more and more sense every time I drive. should have gotten a manual, but since I didn't, this will feel natural at least. excited for it

Although there has been a lot of debate on switch locationn I think you will find this a very comfortable and user friendly way of shifting. I also think that you will find you will use tap shift more and more and will discover you have more control than with a manual and will soon feel differently about your choice in an auto.

Are you going to post on this thread when you have the introductory price/group buy? Or should we PM you to receive info about it?
