What should I do??

A couple months ago, I installed a Solo Performance Mach-X catback on my LS3. While I love the exhaust, it is simply "too quiet" at times. Don't get me wrong, I love no "drone" on the interstate at 70 mph, and the non obnoxious exhaust note when accelerating, but I think it could stand to be slightly louder.

I don't want to opt to swap out the exhaust for another and run the risk of it being too loud, and not being able to make it quieter.

So now I am considering getting Solo Performance High-flow cats to make it louder. I heard they make the factory exhaust sound pretty good, and when combined with the Mach-X catback, the sound is pretty nice.

I understand the Magnuson vs. Moss act, and I understand that the catalytic converters are part of the exhaust system, but is there any way a dealer could try to void an entire powertrain warranty relating "engine failure" to modified cats?? If not, then I will definitely pull the trigger.

Does anyone have these cats?? How hard/easy is the install, and how is the sound quality??

Thanks in advance!!

My dealer said they would have no problem installing LT's and Hi-Flo cats....only thing voided would be any type of warranty work on the exhaust itself.

This is just a guess, but I'm starting to get the impression from the homework I've been doing that warranty voiding is largely dealer-specific. I plan on speaking directly to the dealer I work with to see what they say about mods such as headers, cats, etc.

I've heard that the exhaust warranty would be void. If your doing headers, catbacks etc. not much left....a mute point. That's weird "mute" in an exhaust thread.
