I just got pulled over for no front plate the other day, the cop said that there were 7 warnings in the system for me in the past few years (oops) and he gave me a $120 ticket

Those are greating looking Camaro's! I just happened to have 2 pics on my computer of a 68' Firebird that looks to have the same paint, and wheel/tire set-up as that 68' Camaro-Hey, maybe they're long-lost fraternal twins..lol...Not my car, unfortunately!

It's really neat to finally see the new car next to the first gen. I think the designers got it right...just enough "heritage" without going too far retro. The interesting thing I noticed was how the new car's roofline and raked windshield almost make the first gen's roofline look tall or "taxi-cab" like. JMHO. However, the 67-69 is and will ALWAYS be a CLASSIC. Just as this car will be someday...try saying that about ANY Japanese designed junk...errr...cars.

A coupe of those pics really let you see how much bigger the 2010's wheels are than the '68 and '69's. Love those Cragar SSs! But the 2010's aren't bad either.

I still hate that stupid shark fin antena. Any time I see the new one sitting next to an old one, It sticks out to me. Nobody else seems to mind so maybe I'm just weird. Wish I could have it painted with the car.

Hey love the pics. Make great desk top background images. Love the look of the old and new side by side. The bird looks just like the one I used to have like 25yrs. ago when I was in college. Was working midnites and in college. Fell asleep on the way home and totalled it. Just put in a new motor. Couldnt sleep for a week after that was so depressed. Then I got a "84" camaro. But have never been able to replace the bird. That is a big reason I am so pumped about the new camaro. Kinda like my dream car in a way.
Nice pix keep em comming guys.

+1 I hate the shark fin as well. Others have written that RPO UE0 will delete it. Honestly, I think the lines of the '68 and, to a lesser extent, the '69 are better. Seeing the new Camaro all by itself looks great, but in comparison with the other two...I don't know. Maybe it's just that the other two bring back fond memories.

Gorgeous. Although, the spacing between the cars are too far, they should be closer when side-by-side.

I also like how one has the hockey and the other the rally stripes... and we get to pick for our cars... very neat.

You are good, and correct it is not a true RS nor is it an original car. I have made some substaintial improvements to it, way to many to list. I can tell you that the body and frame are original. My intention from the begining was to build a car that I wanted.
HA! I came back to this thread because a guy at work has a 67 RS that is in his garage. Don't know where he is with it but he is leaning towards red with white stripes vs the black ones and I got his wife's email to send him your pics!
It is a gorgeous color and combination with the stripes

Check out the video posted in the original thread and then tell us which car needs the 'roids. It's not the first gen cars.

You are right sir - I wonder how many owners will take them off!

I got pulled over in my 78 Z28 once for not having it on - but I think the cop just wanted a reason to pull me over...

He made me put it back on and then drive to the police station to show him!
