question for the exhaust gurus...

I am trying to update my exhaust, I am thinking about the SLP loudmouth II system, but the price is a little out of my budget for these systems since I want to get more stuff. My question is, are these mufflers the same as the ones that come with the axel back system?

well, I would, but I think in Texas you have to have mufflers on the car. I don't want to have a reason to be pulled over. Plus, I am not sure if I would pass the annual state inspection without the mufflers....

Texas Transportation Code - Section 547.604. Muffler

§ 547.604. MUFFLER REQUIRED. (a) A motor vehicle shall
be equipped with a muffler in good working condition that
continually operates to prevent excessive or unusual noise.
(b) A person may not use a muffler cutout, bypass, or
similar device on a motor vehicle.

Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, § 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1995.

If you cut the mufflers off you would be fine in Texas. The rsonators on the stock exhaust still count as mufflers.
