which brand offers the highest performance catback?

i have searched in the internet and found these numbers:
-magnaflow comp catback: 11rwhp
-borla atak catback: 10rwwhp (not sure about that)
-corsa catback:6-7rwhp

what do you think guys, should i go with the magnaflow (i liked the muffler delete sound)

Didnt' think a catback offered anything but sound on these cars. I do know first hand that highflow cats make a difference though.

If your looking for rwhp gains then an aftermarket cb exhaust is not what you need. They are mostly for sound. As mentioned above, the hi flow cats are what you need along with some good 1 7/8 headers. I'm getting hi flows with headers and keeping the stock system. I already deleted my mufflers but I might have to get a set of mufflers.

so are you telling me a 3" exhaust with an x pipe and no cats with 1 7/8th headers performs the same as a stock exhaust, catted exhaust with 1 7/8 headers.... regardless of whatever the setup is?

the standard cb exhaust offers little to no gains over stock. I know lt headers and hi flows or no cats increase the hp. I have been in a freinds camaro with lt headers and hi flows with a stock cb system and it was great. I honestly do not believe getting a 3" system makes a major difference unless there's some serious power.

Cat backs exhaust systems are only good for a few horsepower on these cars (1-2% gain, very minimal) but not enough to base your buying decision solely on claimed numbers. How happy are you going to be with your purchase if you don't like the way your car sounds? Your best bet is to find a quality system that sounds good to you and go with it. If you are wanting to make some power you should look at the headers and cats, that is where things are really choked up.
