It wasn't too bad while driving, but it wouldn't idle very well until i put 200+ miles on it. Now... since the tune this morning, its back like normal, obviously it jerks at low speed and RPM, but very nice now.

Myself and 3 others from my club done it. It was actually very simple... took about 12 hours total from the time i pulled it in the shop till i was headed back home.

Check with Texas Speed... they have the VVT cams both with new lifters and stock.

Awesome #'s! This cam seems to always make good.

Did you stay with a single bolt cam or did you convert to 3 bolt?

Parts, labor, and tune is probably around $1650 for a VVT Cam (L99). Includes cam of choice, hardened pushrods, double spring kit, and phase limiter kit. I havent done any VVT Cams yet so this is just an estimate without pricing everything out.

Been doing LS3 cam swaps for $1350 for couple months as a special.

I might see how much of a diy I can put together this weekend. Mostly went straight off of ls1howto. I had the service manual for any problems.
