GOOD MOVE... Headers with muffler delete sounds terrible and it isnt the "volume", its the tone. It just isnt a refined sound, it makes a refined car sound like crap.

You do have an X-Pipe right? If you do not it will be horrible and you are losing low end torque.

What will be horrible about it? From speaking with Ted from Jannety, he says there are no performance gains to be had with an X-pipe since the H-pipe is optomized for this engine.

What he is saying is without a x pipe or H pipe this car with a automatic sounds very bad and way too loud..I tried this with my automatic and once I put my x pipe in it evens out the exhaust and sounds great..too loud with no pipe and no mufflers..just add the x or H pipe and no mufflers and you can't go wrong..

Please let us know your thoughts once the Flowmasters are hooked up to your Kooks headers. I currently have Flowmaster cat back now, but am looking to add headers and high flow cats in the spring, but only if it's not too loud..lol.

I would appreciate any video too!!

I have OBX LTH w/ no cats, x-pipe, muffler delete. everyone ive talked to said it sounds sweet but also said it was really loud. its a bad video because i had the camera too close to the car for the sound. haa. snowed for the first time here so my car is covered for the winter and is now hibernating. haha

If its still too loud get the Magnaflow Street catback. It will really tame down a system with long tubes. You get a nice aggressive sound at higher rpms, while allowing for a nice quiet cruise at 1800 rpms.

But the Magnaflow Street catback is too quiet if you don't have long tubes.
