UnderDrive pulley

Okay so i ordered a Texas speed under-drive pulley the other day and it came in today and i was just curious if anyone has purchased an under-drive and if they noticed a difference in power or if anyone knows what one is the best? The new pulley i got in is kinda heavy and actually looks like a harmonic balancer and i thought the ls engines were internally balanced. Idk the stock pulley looks lighter, are the underdrives supposed to be heavier?

I have the SLP pulley, but as far as I know both the SLP and Texas Speed pulley are both made by Power Bond.

I can tell you that it is for sure a mod that it worth its money. The ole butt dyno can sure tell a difference after putting it on! It's a fairly easy install and for the price it's hard to beat.

I have the SLP pulley coming... my only concern is running the stereo equipment I have.

Tarheel, do you have an amp or extra electrical?

Does the UD pulley require a different size belt? Or the same OEM belt? Just wandering!!!

The altenator over drive pulleys are a cure for cars needing extra amperage at idle & low RPM's. Good to get with an underdrive pulley.

Nope, don't have anything extra hooked up electrical wise besides a radar detector. But I haven't had any problems with the charging system. It runs about 13.5 to 14 volts running and right at 12.5 volts on idle.

How much to do this? Does it void warranty? What kind of power gains?
