Over and to the bottom of the spoiler for sure!!! And it'll probably be done that way because of the tricky labor involved in terminating it on the front or rear of the spoiler.

Over the tail, with the rounded edges and pinstripe rounding it out. If it just ends where the tail leaves off, THAT's what looks unfinished to me!

I obviously prefer complete rear spoiler coverage, which the aftermarket will take care of ALONG with past the mail slot. Going aftermarket is really the best thing to do if you want the aesthetic you were looking for from the get-go. Originality isn't worth all these complications such as unfinished coverage of the rear spoiler.

Frankly, I not so religious about the stripes. So either one will be fine. I noticed that the two cars with stripes that are out at the auto shows have the stripes that stop at the top of the spoiler and the one auctioned off at BJ had the stripes that went down the back. And when I was watching BJ earlier today they were talking about the stripes on a 1969 Z28 and they pointed out that the factory stripes and dealer installed stripes were slightly different. The factory stripes stopped at the bottom of the spoiler and the dealer installed stripes stopped at the bottom of the trunk lid. So that got me thinking. Perhaps GM is showing us both stripe packages with the cars that we have seen? Just a thought.

Front: They went all the way down the front of the car for the first 3 years, then in 70 they started circling it off at the end of the hood.

Back: Always slipped into the trunk so it looked "unfinished". It was not rounded off on top of or behind the car.

The '67-'69 stripes may look "unfinished" in the sense that they disappeared over the front edge of the hood in front, and they "slipped into the trunk" in back. But if you'll look carefully at pictures of original factory cars, the stripes were rounded off in front near the windshield (cowl area) and in back between the back glass and the trunk lid.

So there was some thought put into it. Think of it this way: the stripes begin inside the design space of the body and flow forwards and backwards outside the confines of the body to infinity.

This is the way I would prefer the stripes on the new camaro. If you have a copy of the Classic Industries Camaro catalog, page 323, you can see a pretty clear picture. Classic Instustries sells rally stripe stencil sets for the '67-'69's.

Does anyone else notice from the main picture...and the yellow bumble bee signature of one user that the concept had much wider tail lamps? A very fickle observation on my end, but I like those wide lamps.....gives more of the afterburner look. Has anyone noticed if the production lamps are afterburner...I don't believe so...I believe they are just darkened tint

That's how they came from the factory in '97?
