Dealer add on= Performance exhaust?

Has anyone bought a Camaro SS from a dealer and had them add on the exhaust before delivery? What did it cost? What HP gains? How different does it sound?

I had the GMPP exhaust added when I bought my 2SS, it looks much better, you cant see those giant cans underneath the rear fascia. The sound is subtle but strong at idel and when your on the throttle it roars! 6th gear is a bit of a drone under 80/85 or if your not really punching it but other than that Id say it was a great choice.

I got it as a part of the deal when I purchased my camaro. Some kind of dealer accessory program instead of rate adjustments or rebates. It didnt cost me anything for the parts or the install, im not sure if there is an actual hp gain, but it definitly shifts smoother, and feels like it has a little more power. It could just be the lack of restriction compared to the stock mufflers.

I was going to purchase the GMPP OffRoad exhaust (axleback) just to tide me over until I was ready to mod it. They were going to install it for free. The exhaust was going to cost me around 500.

I ended up getting it all for free due to the sales manager wigging out on me and the owner of the dealership overhearing me rip him a new one, in the middle of the dealership. The owner took us to his office and asked the problem... and so... I got it all free...

I've had lots of huge compliments on it for the sound, but....
there is quite a bit of drone at highway speeds, or rather cruising at 1750 to 2000 rpm.

My wife is getting a little tired of the drone and told me to have it fixed before she rides all the way to C5 Fest II. I was going to have the helmholts chambers put on it, but my builder said to wait and see how well the Twins take care of the drone... The two turbo's will slice and dice the sound waves until they are mostly gone... So, we will see...

I still like the sound and it's not so obnoxious that I can't hear the Roto-Fab over it... that Roto-Fab sux.. Big Time... I Love it...

And there are no HP gains to be had from the GMPP exhaust... it's just for the looks, (Amazing), and the noise...

Has anyone done the GMPP performance exhaust with the GM Ground effects? I see the part number shows no tips. I'd like to see how they look with no tips, and I personnally like the GMPP sound, not to loud for us old guys.

I was going to add the performance exhaust and air package from the dealer but when the sales person came back to his desk the price was $3,100.00 I waited and I will install what I want later.

Theres going to be no power gains with the GMPP exhaust because its only an axle back.

Mine was part of the incentive package. They installed for free. Car sounds great and looks awesome.
I dont think there is a gain in the performance.
