Pfadt springs with 255/45s

The next modification I want to do to my 1SS is install the Pfadt lowering springs. My concern now is that I just bought snow tires for the car and ended up going with the 255/45R20 Pirelli's since Tire Rack had those in stock and I didn't want to wait until late December to get winter tires on the car. Does anyone have any experience with this combination or see any potential problems? I'd hate to install them only to find out that I just spent over a grand on snow tires that now rub.

The only problem would be with the usual snow and ice build-up inside the wheel wells that are now about a inch or so closer than normal to the tire, just keep and eye on the build-up and clear the wells of snow and ice.

Hi joeyea323,

Are you putting the 255s on your OEM wheels? Or are you saying you purchased new tires AND wheels. If so, what is the size/offset of the wheels?

If you are using the OEM wheels, there will be no problem whatsoever. Are you putting 255s on all the way around?

Yes I put them on the OEM wheels same size all around. My plan is to get the springs and sway bars and, come spring time, buy a set of black wheels as my "non beaters." Its good to hear I won't have any problems with that!
