What 1/4 mile ET will a 630RWHP camaro get?

What can be expected of a 630RWHP (typical twin turbo kit) SS?
I used to have a GTR and I ran a 10.83 at 130.77mph with only 530AWHP

depends if your car is an a6 or m6

manuals + turbos = the suck for drag racing

autos you can build boost off the line and keep boost during shifts

I'm assuming by the high hp numbers that it's a m6.... so i'll say mid 11's

What it can POTENTIALLY RUN and what it will run is all dependent on Chassis Set up, Gear Ratio and Tires and Driver.

It has the POTENTIAL at 4000 lbs to run 10.42 ET at 127 MPH with all the right equipment.

But can run as slow as 13.0 at 125.

Ted.

I like "uncle" Ted's answer too.

In all there are many things that make-up the time you could have...

A6 vs M6
Great driver like OCII and Superhcarged SS
Have a good converter
Be able to have good suspension, etc to get moving faster

Also...if you have a Maggie or KB that makes that number...its probably going to get there a lot faster than a Procharger or a Turbo.

Here's why.....the Maggie and KB have the Torque pulling acorss the whole band while the Procharger will have the torque come on as the rpm's go up...so the pull down low isn't there...and a heavy car can use the pull in the 3000-5000 rpm range.

Now...if you are OCII...you are off the charts with what you can do...so, its not fair comparing him to others.

Its an M6, sorry forgot to mention that.
Thanks guys, seems like 10's are possible if I launch and shift well enough, which is what I was hoping for.
I bought the M6 b/c it'll be a lot more fun.

A lot of variables goes into this answer. Your last car was awd so of course it will launch better. Having a heavy rwd car is gonna be a little harder. With that said 10's are possible but my guess would be 11.4

I was at the track last month and I ran a 12.5 at 118mph on the factory tires and it was cold outside. I have an m6 and i suck at driving. All i did was burn out all the way down the track it sucked cause it was cold out. That same day I saw a L99 camaro with 530rwhp run high tens. And he was all stock except for them race tires and supercharger he had. So point made is he had less hp then me but ran better times. I can't drive for nothing and it was my frist time at the track. My first pass I ran a 12.5 @118.25 mph. R/T .732 60' was 2.173 330 was 5.636 1/8 was 8.361 @93.68mph and my 1000 was 10.643. LOL i dont know what all that means i'm sure you track guys know.

i would say you have potential to be in the 10's, but that is on a perfect day with perfect driving. the problem you will have is launching and shifting. you will more than likely spin off the line and it is always possible to miss shift the car. only thing really to do is take it to the track and see what she will run

You won't know for sure until you take it to the track and run it. There are way to many variables involved that even making a guess is foolish.

We are plugging along. Our run was back in Oct with the stock gears. Hopefully the 4.10's along with another 100 rwhp will help me crawl up the list. Just make sure that you and James don't do anything else to your cars for a while!!
