Thanks

I had to order the car. I was suprised that most of the dealer cars were automatics..... Plus I wanted the Hurst Short Throw Shifter with the two tone gray& black interior to go with the silver strips. The exhaust can go in anytime. It does have a deeper sound but the dealer pricing is about $1400!!! Seem high for what you get.

Yeah the exhaust is really a kind of a rip. I got mine installed for 750.00 but at the time there was not many exhaust out for the car. It is a lower rumble and looks allot better than the trash cans.

RS package

Even the RS package seemed high for what you get if you already have the 2SS. I will shelve the exhaust until I put some miles on the car, the wait will be north of six weeks.

In the six to eight weeks you'll be waiting to get your car you will be able to research every aspect of the Camaro through this site. Research overload is actually possible. I agree that getting an aftermarket exhaust would be a better value. Congratulations on your purchase. As someone once said in a song..."the waiting is the hardest part".

Time

Dealer gave me the production date of January 10th. So it looks like my time table will be very late January or early Feb.
The though of drilling the bumper is sick. They have a plate that sticks to the bumper skin with a foam tape. It look well made and the deal said it will not damage the paint and can be removed in needed with a heat gun. Any feedback on this item would be helpful.
I am getting the Hurst shifter, however the billet is the true look and really brings things back to my first pony car in 1967....
Also is the dealer cover @ $360 a good deal?

Looks like you ordered around the same time as me. I ordered 12/13. Get an order # from your dealer and enter it into this website: http://gmconnects.com/ It will keep you up to date on what status your car is in.

And you can always join us in the TPW thread of 1/10 here!! http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=120415

I would also spend your next couple of weeks checking out after market exhausts here on Camaro5 venders - lots of good products out there now.
Also depending what part of NY your in, if the car is shipped by truck - as a opposed to rail - you should your car in 7 - 10 days. Had mine in 8 days (240 miles from the plant) and 2 of those days were spend applying the strips. Rail don't ask!! another member here had his car built 4 days befor mine the same TPW, shipped the day before mine was built by rail to CT, got it a week after I did.
