Halltech Yellow Jacket Intake

We have 10 of the Camaro Halltech Yellow Jackets coming in next week......

Halltech has been making power popping Corvette intakes for the C5 and C6 Corvettes that allow for easy installation and no permanent modifications to the car for the past 11 years. They just released their brand new Camaro Intake ( same qualities that made them popular with the Corvette crowd) , the Halltech Yellow Jacket! We have 10 of this brand new system coming in next week.

On sale and with free shipping (limited time)....

Ordering and more info here...

Camaro Intake

Thanks,

Jim

There is not a Halltech system for the V6, sorry. With the 3.6L engine, I tend to recommend people towards the Airaid Cold Air Intake, as that system offers the best combination of quality, affordability, and performance benefits for the Camaro V6. It's a much nicer system than its K&N equivalent, and is much better built, and provides performance gains comparable to more expensive systems, as well. While not Halltech (my favorite for the LS engines), Airaid is a great company that makes very good exhaust systems.

Thanks,
Matt

Just to make sure that I'm reading that graph correctly. That intake make 35-38 HP difference?

The intake itself makes about 15-18HP, the other HP difference shown there is from the intake also installed on that vehicle that was Dyno'ed. If you look at the top, you'll see a list of the modifications installed upon that test vehicle. I'd expect a standard 15-18HP improvement with the intake alone.

Thanks,
Matt

It's a specially made Halltech specific filter. It's actually made by one of the biggest filter companies, but, it's made to meet Halltech's specifications. It's a much larger, much nicer cone filter than you'll see on most CAI systems.

Thanks,
Matt

I purchased the Halltech yellow jacket from Southern Car Parts back in early 2010. I am curious. When I see all pictures the rubber seal that seats against the car is always removed. My heat shield maintains a 1" gap at the bottom where it seats to the frame. Did they come out with a updated shield to fit better?

Also, would the Halltech benefit from a air scoop to bring in more air to the filter area?

Scoop's totally not necessary, but can be beneficial if you can help direct extra air flow right in to the air intake. However, because the shield and placement already result in a lot of air going in there, I doubt you'd see a huge difference in performance as result.
Not sure which rubber seal you're making reference to? PM or call us and I'll help you figure that out.

Thanks,
Matt

Thanks for the order, and congrats on getting the best CAI for both your Camaro and Corvette! Let us know what you think once they're both installed and you've had a bit of time to drive with them!

Thanks,
Matt
