GM Card earnings

Does anyone know if you will be able to use GM Card earnings toward a new Camaro?

I think so, we have quite a bit on ours but we also are eligible for suppliers to we will probably go with that since it will result in a bigger discount.

It had better be allowed. I got the card JUST for that reason. And have $1000 on it I can use.

I really hope that "someone in the know" can verify or dispel this notion. We have rewards that we would love to use on this car as well. Calling CamaroScotty or TeamLynn to the table please!!!!!!!!!!

From what I remember you can combine the supplier's discount with you GM card earnings.

I have one also and have 500 on the earnings. It is my understanding that they only credit my card once a year. When do they do that because I should be credited more as I have used that card more. Does anyone know?

It all depends on what card you have there differant gm cards out there. Some let you use all the money some only let you use a part of it. It also depends on the cars and what you could use on that model. Also supplier and gms can not be used in combination with some cards I knwo for a fact that I can not use any gm card as a gms dealer employee, thats why i don't have one anymore no reason to have it.
Hope this helps.

You can check your earnings on the gmcard website. They should be accumulating each month.

My dealer didn't think there should be any problem with me using my earnings. I'm guessing there will be a $1000-$1500 max limit that's allowed to be used for the Camaro.

i heard we will be bale to but it depends on your cards restrictions on how much you are allowed t ouse. some are 1,000 limits and some are 3,000. just depends. i heard on camaroz28.com that any incentives that applied to other vehicles, when the car comes out, can also be applied to the camaro.

It's just a credit card that your charges earn you points towards the purchase of GM vehicles.

I have received supplier pricing on my last two vehicles and also used GM card earnings each time. One has nothing to do with the other.

$1000 is the minimum for all cars except the ZR1.
The Camaro allowance will surely be $1000

Either way, GMS + GM card = $3000-$3500 below MSRP for me!

There are a few different GM credit cards (1%, 5%, etc.) and you can use the GM extended family card (1% earnings) in conjunction with GMS pricing. I am sure you could use these earnings with supplier too. I am not familiar with the restrictions on the other cards (but know they can not be used with GMS), but can confirm using earnings from the "GM extended family card" and GMS (have done it several times).

FYI, GMS is employee discount (current employees, retirees and their immediate families) GM supplier discount can be given to employees of suppliers and many other companies that qualify, military, and executive GM employees can give a few a month to friends and extended family. I am sure there are other ways to qualify for this discount, but that's what I can think of off the top of my head.

Here is a lonk to the card that can be used with GMS

I have the classic card and saved up 3500 there's one even older that had a greater limit . If your a new applicant the only give you the new card that has preset earning limits per vehicle and 3% per purchase. The older one was 5%. Does anyone know if you can use the classic with suplier discount, I looked it up some time ago and only found employee pricing info and it could not be used with that.

I got an email back from the GM Cardmember Services Redemption Center.

"Unfortunately, we do not have any information on the new Chevrolet
Camaro in regards to eligibility or Redemption Allowances."

Big surprise, huh? lol

Now if they would just let me use all $2987 I've got saved up instead of what will likely be a limit of $1000...

as i said in a similar thread, with the one type card you get 5% up to $500 per year, but all the earnings can be applied to any purchase. I will have around $4000 by the time mine is built, last used when I bought a 2001 Camaro.

With the older one it's a max of 3500 and points start expiring at seven years mine start going in April. I would check your account online unless you have the one that's even older than mine pre 1997 the max is 3500. I remember reading they converted everyone over to the 3500 limit I may be wrong but check anyhow. If it's the new one they will limit you to preset limits so you may not be able to use the 4000 usually the most is 2000 but for this car 1000 is more likely.

Are there different supplier discount? I may be able to use supplier or college Grad but my friend says his supplier discount will be less than invoice but when I check college grad prices on other cars it's more than invoice. I remember reading somewhere college grad was same amount as supplier.
