Buying 2011 Camaro LS, Good Price?

First off I would like to say Hello to everyone here at Camaro5, This is my first of many post Im sure.. The past few weeks I've been looking at the 2011 Camaros around the lots here in KY and everytime I have a question I check the forums here and I find the answer and then some... This site is AMAZING and you guys rock.

Finally think I found the one I want, Actually may purchase it Wednesday of this week.. Its a Black 2011 Camaro LS for $25,500 (After Taxes, all the dealer fees, Registration, yadayada), to drive it off the lot..

Before the V8 Guys jump me ( OI! Yer Gettin Da V6?!?!) .. Dude Im 23, Working and its my first NEW car, Cant Afford a V8, its that simple . Living in my budget...

So What you guys think about the price? Go For It Or Keep Looking?

Again Thank You All For The Great Information And Help You All Provide.

With that money you can get a used 2010 2lt with the rs package, better deal in my opinion:
http://www.vast.com/detail/cars/ob-N...FzdF92Mw%3D%3D
But whatever floats your boat, you'll still end up with a Camaro either way =D

  • MSRP:$27,245
  • MSRP: $24,600
Two different dealers showing different MSRP, same model, everything from what i can tell.
But after you figure in the Taxes, Registration, all the fees I think (25,500 fees included, final price) is a good deal, no?

These are the 2:
First: MSRP:24,600 List For 24,600 ( This is the one I was looking to get for 25,500 after all fees)
http://www.hendersonchevrolet.com/Ve...n-KY/868512613

The second: MSRP:27,245 Sale:23,935 (After All Fees NOT including registration was quoted at 25,800)
http://www.patriotchevybuickgmc.com/New-Inventory.html
Only Black LS they have in their search

It's not possible to answer your question without knowing the "MSRP" &/or the options of this LS. Get the cars MSRP (GM MSRP on the window without any of the dealers BS) and go from there. IMO you should be paying under MSRP for any new Camaro at this time- (new convertable excluded).
Their not unique any longer like they were two years ago.
Good luck with your purchase.

I paid $24,040 for mine 2010 in July so I'd say that's a good deal.

Price seems ok. Here is what's within 250 miles from Louisville, KY, sorted by lowest price:

Welcome to the Forum. Try this web site.......GM.com............look up the Chevrolet Camaro.........base price for the LS MSRP is $22,680.00

This is a GOOD web site that you can check out everything from price to what is included.

PM Becky at Rodgers Chevrolet for further help. She is a BIG help on this Forum.

I can see the first one of the two has the automatic and is close to the right price.

As for the second one not sure why the price is so high without knowing what other options it came with.

Like my previous post recommends contact Becky at Rodgers Chevrolet........She is a HUGE help here on the Forum.

Used

I was looking for a new cam5 and I had a budget....I can afford to pay more but that's a summer car only. So I could afford a LS.

Than I went serching for a used one. Last April I found a 2 LT-RS with about 6,000 miles, no winter. And looks new.

Save more than $9,000.00 and I still have some money left for Air Intake and Solo J Pipes.

That would be sticker price for an Auto, with premium paint LS.
You should be able to negotiate under sticker, many dealers have them on the lot.

Got on GM.com , went to built the same 2011 Black Camaro LS, Making it an Automatic added $995 to MSRP making it: $24,525
So by the time you add in taxes, registration, ect I think $25,500 is a pretty good deal.

Going to attempt to contact Becky for advice/information too. Ty

And it is on the lot

There's a chance you might be unhappy with the LS. Not with the V6 - it's a great engine, sound good, plenty of power, but for the car's lack of options. If this is something you plan on keeping for a few years, then try to get a few things you WANT in the car.

A used car with more features is worth more to me than a brand new car with less features, IMHO. The newness wears off very quickly, and then you're left with a car without options that for which you paid a new-car premium.

There are a TON of off-lease Camaros hitting dealer lots. I'd at least consider looking at a few of them before pulling the trigger on a new LS.

autos like $999 if im not mistaken, so thats still $500 more
synergy is also another 350 plus 150 more for the spare, i think you could get a better price depending on the options you want

you could save even more money and go with a manual
