Nobody else does, the article is incorrect. The Malibu has the 3.6L LY7 V6, the non-DI version of the 3.6L High-Feature engine.

An LLT Malibu would be a fun car with great mileage.

As far as I know, it's never happening. EpII Malibu is supposedly ditching the V6 for a turbo 4.

I'm doubting their numbers. 72k overseas sales for the Camaro?

for some time the v6 malibu was a pos car. Can we say leaking intake gaskets.

the 4 cylinder seems to be a decent motor minus the shavings in the oil filter

Are you generalizing all Malibu's ever made here, or specific engine code, or models years or what...

I drove a 2010 Fusion the other day. It made me want to drive a Malibu! The Fusion wasn't bad per say, but just wasn't real interesting. The mirrors were too small and the brakes too grabby, and i wasn't impressed with their centre HVAC control stack.
As soon as i sat in it and seen the DIC, i was like, hey, that's similar to the Malibu's! (for instrument face design, that's all)

My wife has a 2010 Malibu LTZ with the four popper. It's a fun car in manual mode. I keep threatening to turbo it when she complains it's not as peppy as the supercharged 2006 Mini Cooper S that was traded in on it, lol. Heck, the v6 would have been plenty, but she didn't want to wait.

and what? my parents had a 09 Clubman S, it was a GREAT car and the quality blows anything in the small segment out the water.. my only complaints were that they didnt use the normal BMW 5x120 lug pattern and no AWD option, cause boy that thing needed it!

I expected the Regal to be higher on the list. And the Dodge Journey? That was a surprise for me.

Umm yeah, wouldn't that be about half of the 2010 production?

Regal isn't sold as Regal overseas though (except in China).

Fenstick, you can probably clear up whether their sales date is bogus or not. I'm sure there is something buried in GMI that would help ...

I don't think we have overseas figures, especially for the Middle East region, but a lot of their numbers are plausible, especially for Regal and LaCrosse (China eats them up). Cruze is destroying the international sales charts.

The only things I'm not sure about are Camaro, Malibu, and Aveo.

Now the main problem with their list is that a lot of these cars aren't exported from the US. Regal and LaCrosse are both built in their respective overseas markets, along with Cruze, Aveo, and Fiesta. In fact Regal isn't even built in North America yet, it's still being built at Russelsheim until the 2012 Regal arrives (with some updates) at Oshawa.

Fairly sure the global Focus isn't the same as the current NA-spec Focus either.
