New style AAC Plasma DRL P13w bulbs

Starting my quest in banishing all amber/orange from this car. My stealth
bulbs for the turn signals arrive soon and at some point I'll order the body
paint matched sidemarkers from AAC also, but for now the first lighting
mod on my Camaro, AAC's Plasma white LED bulbs.

Got them here: http://www.automotivelightstore.com/p13w_SALE.aspx

These are for RS trim Camaros only.

The bulbs are an easy install and they twisted into the DRL housing just
fine. The other end of the bulbs on mine didn't click into the wiring
harness that normally plugs into the back of the stock bulbs, but they
snug in pretty well and should be just fine. I also zip tied the extra wiring
to the wires leading to the sidemarker just to get them up and out of the
way so they're not just hanging there swinging.

These things are nice and bright white, they look so much better than the
stock bulbs. Jonathan at AAC got them out to me in a hurry too, much
thanks for that! They lived up to my expectations from everything I've
read about the company and they're great to deal with.

Anyway, here's a couple photos of the bulbs. I don't have a harness yet
that lets me run them with the halos, but that's on the list as well.

Probably the AAC sidemarkers with Cyber Gray paint match and tinted lenses...

Guess they'll still light up amber - perhaps I could get them custom with
more "yellow" than orange LEDs instead? Something to think about. Might
be gray area law-wise, but I really do hate orange, haha.

We can build you a custom set using White LEDs if you want. As long as you are using them for "show" purposes.

These would have to be custom built so there would be a surcharge but we can make it happen

do you need to run the DRL Harness with these or do they come with the bulbs?

You will need a harness, but you can get the ones from AAC and they work just fine for about 10 bucks.
Got the new plasma bulbs in and man, are they nice! A few pics:

Just got mine installed this past weekend and man are they bright. Just like Spurscar said mine didn't click into the wiring harness that normally plugs into the back of the stock bulbs and I ty-wraped the two together just to be one the safe side.

I did notice that at different angles you can get a slight yellow reflection from the bulb off of the DRL chrome like I saw in Spurscar's first post. From straight on you get no yellow reflection. I like these bulbs much better. Thanks Jonathan.

To clarify- these will not burn out due to the GM pulsing signal correct? Just wondering if I should upgrade to prevent any possible future problems, even though my AAC LEDs are still working great with Adaptive harness.

Here's a pic of the "tinted" side markers and they look pretty good with the CGM, and they look good at night also.

Your fog light housing, like mine, can handle HID's. WAY brighter than stock and brighter than LED's for sure. Those plasmas do have a awesome color tho and just the right amount of light.

Check out my thread... I installed HID 5202 Foglights.

Correct, there is a built-in regulator that offsets the pwm.

Don't forget to replace your turn signal bulbs with stealth bulbs so you don't see the orange anymore!
