It does suck that you're having all these issues ( seems to be the norm for you though ) However, it's nice to see someone has worse luck than I do!

I kid I kid!

How many miles are on this unit? It's used, right? IF there's a crack in the intercooler, you would see that white "smoke" (steam, actually), and you would notice the level in the Intercooler tank being lower. If remove a plug, does it smell like antifreeze? ( like a sweet smell) You don't have a wideband A/F gage on it yet, do you? It should read 14.7 (or thereabouts) at idle. HMMMMMMM

Thank you guys. I'd appreciate any and all feedback. Of course it's gonna take getting home and putting some of this to the test.

No doubt. lol

I do want to point out that I don't believe it's an intercooler leak thing. I still say tune or air. Ultimately air.

The guy who sold me this unit didn't have any problems and no way they crack this cast iron unit in shipping.

I don't know the guy personaly, but I know Tim. It was not Tim who sold me the unit but Tim does his engine work and Tim put me in touch with him. Tim didn't pack the unit up or anything. And still to Tims credit has taken good care of me.

You are obviously burning something, now the question is what?
That "smoke" looked alot like steam from the vid.

It would take about 10 minutes to unbolt the throttle body and shine a flashlight in the blower. Might see some evidence of whatever you are burning.

That would be my first step, because I doubt the maf is causing what you have.

I'll do some of these checks when I get home. Again, It's HIGHLY unlikely it's the intercooler. As I said this morning, it would be too much water to run good for the first minute on startup. I can turn it off and restart a minute later and it run great for a minute again.

Cannot see far enough into the blower.

i posted threads on performancetrucks.net & ls1truck.com (two forums i'm on that have a lot of boosted LS engines) to see if they have any ideas.
i linked them to the end of here where you actually got it started
so far, i've gotten that they think it's the tune or a vacuum leak

When you start it up again put your hand over one of the exhaust tips for a second and then smell your hand. It doesn't look to be oil and I wouldn't say at this point that its a water leak either. Its cold down south and your car has been sitting, it could be condensation in your pipes. Maybe you have some air in the fuel lines from replacing the hose? Can you purge your fuel rail? I really think its an indication that you need a BAP........

Ok going to throw out a few more things.

What about the O-rings on the injectors, what would the symptoms be if one was torn/cracked? When I installed mine I know I pulled one side out to make something easier to do, cant remember for what. Previous owner have injectors out?

Did you use new intake gaskets or old ones?

Did the rubber washers get put in place on top of valley cover?

One thing to check is the boost port on the back of the blower near the map sensor, maybe the other owner had a boost gauge and the cap is missing. Would be a big vacum leak. If you are using this port disregard this.

Ok. Been outside. Came in just for a minute to warm up.

Huggerorange73, I think you may have hit it.

Started the car up to check for, and hopefully get a code, and all of my TC, ST, lights were on.

MAF is indeed installed correctly, so I'm gonna resplice those wires and even swap them with one another, and see if it works.

I can't choke this chicken down fast enough. Gotta eat though. But keep yalls fingers crossed for me.
