Very cool. With a few mods, I think we could hang.

I bet the motor is brushless

Electric motors spin in excess of 20,000 RPM...practically no moving parts aside from the core. The only fuel based engines are the F1 cars...which are limited to 19,000 rpm.

On the way home from California. Taken the morning of 12/30. We had stopped to show the car to a few folks in St. Louis we met through Camaro5 and stopped to see the arch on our way.

Sorry we missed you.

LOL...there is a reason battery operated cars have been dying off...

the problem was the battery disposal...those things have way more effect on the planet than toxins from car exhaust will ever have.

Nickel Hydride isnt exactly nice to things it touches.

And the battery life is laughable...60 batteries got him to charge back up after 12 seconds of running the car.

The only thing we need to find...is find a fuel...that can run in current gasoline engines with no mods...

But then again we had the water car since the 50's

In fact the guy that invented the water spark plug...just died (cough assasinated)...all u did was pay $115 for the plugs...replaced the spark plugs for the water plugs...and you had a car that ran on water. It disheartens me to hear all these stories of people who threatened the demand of oil, all of a sudden the people died of "natural causes".

I cant remember the water plug guy's name, ill try to start a thread when i remember

I think by water he means hydrogen witch is made but running an electric current through water. My teacher at the vocational school had plans to make a car sounds like the same plans. You would fill the car with water and the car would run a electrical current through the water to make hydrogen and then put through the engine.

When their powers combine, they are Captain Planet.

What if you could recharge on the fly using this stuff.

I read something about power to weight ratios in a text book somewhere, I don't remember exactly what it said though.

The fact is the only advantage that guy has, is he is not destroying the earth while he is driving it. How does he get his electricity?... I hope he is OK with it coming from a coal fired plant. "Hey look I found 18 cents after I lit all the dollar bills on fire and they burned up, cool." He is getting his 18 cents worth of environmental benefit, and pissing away the dollars of pollution when he has to re-charge the batteries from the coal fired plant across town, or the batteries are tossed into a land fill.

I think that the main point here is that the guy is a preacher and troll bait. Electric cars are awesome, are great tech and I would love to have a Chevy Volt if I can afford one in the future. To save the world? Nay. To get 40 miles or more (hopefully around 120) from a charge at a fraction of the cost of gas? Absolutely. But that isn't my main consideration of the Volt. The fact that it might have a 1.3 liter turbo engine as only a generator to keep up a charge shows me how far car tech as come. But to consider that using vehicle bound batteries as a form of raw energy storage is going to save the world from demonic internal combustion engines is purely asinine.

Cool car though. I'd love to see what a "Top Fuel" dragster can do with Lithium Polymer technology.

OP: could the camaro beat this electric car????? Yes.

The camaro fills its tank faster
can get wet
gets more mileage per tank
has more horse power
can seat 2 comfortably and 2 not as much
has higher trap speeds
doesn't need drag radials
has a radio
has power windows
has v8 rumble
has a lower sticker price

Shall I go on...?

Oh and I forgot, all the races we run will be about 50 miles. Tell White Zombie we can tow her back to the pits or they can walk back, it should only be about 25-30 miles for them.

Instead of depending on foreign oil, he should be bragging up all the coal that was burned to give him his electricity. I'm sure it doesn't pollute the air that much, I mean how bad can coal be?

Tesla roadster is definitely the only electric car that can run with the Camaro in both speed and looks , not that thing at all LOL
