1SS quicker build time?

I was told my a dealer that when ordering a 1SS it will arrive quicker to the customer due to less electronics and leather and should be here weeks ahead of someone who would order a 2SS at the same time.

True or false?

Can't be true, considering they are built back to back on the production line.

Went down to make a deal on a 1SS/RS, boston, hurst, and polished wheels but they would not budge off $38k... lmao (over charge much?)

That's when I asked about ordering and walked out of the dealership.

Thats my car options wise and I got out the door for thousands less, taxes and fees included. I ordered my car and it was 7 weeks total from order to arrived at dealer. Good luck with the quicker build time.

They each take a day to build... the rest is waiting in the queue to be built, and waiting for the car to be transported to your dealer.

The only exception is if some component, like homelink, is in short supply, the cars that need it could be delayed.

Also, your car can be delayed if it is randomly picked out for quality control test.

Your car would move down the line at the same speed as all the other cars, so I'm not sure where your dealer got the idea that it would have a quicker build time.

Funny I just finished watching how they built the camaro's, pretty impressive team they have there! Looks like they all go down the same line so my dealer is a moron.

The next closest chevy dealer that I would buy from is 150 miles away, time to make a trip next weekend.

One of the guys on the forum is probably right when his posts always end with "all car dealers are liars".....all except Becky of course.
