Anybody in the Olathe area know of a good place for window tinting? I'm thinking I'd like to get it done before the Camarofest in a couple weeks

Hi ladies and gents. I'm new to the forum and in the Wichita metro area. Just ordered my Summit White 2LT/RS last weekend from Davis-Moore Chevrolet and waiting on an allocation still.

I'm learning so much from reading all your posts, and just wanted to introduce myself.

honey when our yellow camaro came in it got here a week before the stripes did and it was great..but once we put the hockey stripes on and we pulled up to get the car it was wow x10...just thought i would throw that out there..

Welcome Abygale, looks like Wichita has quite the collection going on...

I just got my allocation today. Dealership Manager called and said Happy Birthday!!! I automatically added the BA Sound System to my order as a special gift to myself. He said I have till Tuesday to finalize any changes to my order.

I should roll over to 2000 Wednesday morning!! WOOT!!!

A friend of mine also recommended midwest tint. He has had all of his vehicles tinted there. The shop is over by Superior Chevy. I'll be giving them a call sometime next week about getting mine done.

Welcome Abygale. First local to order white that I've notice. I would recommend inferno orange interior and orange stripes to go with that summit white, but I'm kinda partial to the orange now.

Ahh, too late. I went to A1 Tint in Olathe for $165. It looks pretty good with a lifetime warranty.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm getting it without stripes at first to see what I think, but I've decided on IO if I do add them

With regard to tinting, from what I've read you don't want to put metallic film on. It will interfere with your radio/satellite reception and that is specifically mentioned in the owner's manual. Just do a search on "window tinting" on this site and you'll find a lot of posts on it.

Apparently the ceramic blocks out more of the UV rays and heat and has a "clearer" appearance so that's what I'm looking for. A highly recommended brand has been Formula One Pinnacle Series ceramic. I'll be trying to find someone with that brand and type of tint myself

I guess I'm sort of grateful for the 2-3 month wait so I have plenty of time to learn what not to do

I can't wait to see pictures of your cars as you each get them. I'm hoping for an allocation this week, and I'll be sure to post some pictures of my white camaro when she gets here

I finally saw an IOM in person, kinda... It was Northbound on I-435 on the KS side near the speedway around 1:00 pm on Friday, we were southbound so I only got about a 5 second look at it. Now, I really can't wait for ours to get here!!!!

Finally got the stripes put on after 10 days, turned out better than I expected, Clear Braa goes on Weds and the car will be done for now.
