Heck yeah... Drive on to the track Friday night if you're in the area... Skip the hotel... We'll put you up... A friend, another member here is bringing his camper, has a few bunks available... And coffee works... Is it Community???

If someone needs them I have a brand new set of Nitto NT05R 315/35/20 on 20×11 Forgestars. There on the rear of my SS, they'll be at the track.

I meant to quote you, see my post about tires, I don't know if they'd help you in a pinch.

Will you be able to have the new controller dialed in for traction control? That will be SO nice on your first few gears! ... and tires ... and drivetrain ... and ...

Do you still need to get the 200+ qualification before you let her fly?

Congrats Robert looks like everything is coming together well. I'm wishing you and the team much success at the Mile. Wish I could be there but will have to be in spirit only. May the go-fast Gods be with you.

I'm going to get a new camera tomorrow, I plan on filming & taking pictures for the entire event, I'll be posting on Facebook constantly throughout the weekend. I can give everything I get to anyone if they want it.

Awesome... Justin and another young man are coming with... Justin does the video stuff and the other young'un is a talented photographer building a portfolio... Again, any and all photos and video are welcome.... Lord knows I've taken tens of thousands of pics over the years with having been a sports photographer for years... HS, College and Pro Sports...

Pretty much retired from that....

I'm really looking forward to meeting you and seing the new ride...

I'll have something there to load any and all pics you take... Doesn't matter who's car... I'ld like a photo collection of the event...

It's gonna be fun, I'm looking forward to meeting all you guys also, just a warning though, I'm always joking & I don't take anything very serious. I skipped right over you saying you bring a pit bike. The power level on your car is crazy, you should get the 5th gen record no problem (I'm cheering for you to get it) but I'm thinking I could take you in a pit bike race. Maybe I should throw mine on the trailer also. I raced off road professionally up till 2 years ago. We could set up a track somewhere around the pits & do a night race or something stupid like that. I gotta return to California saying I won something in Texas.

About the only thing I take seriously is work.... We'll get along great... but be ready, folks in Texas are brutal once they figure out you can take it...

And I say bring it on... Your pit bike, whatever it may be against mine, and any others we can drag into it... Mine already has a number on it and has been though tech... I'm guessing it'll do a mad 19 or 20 mph... maybe...

Or, I'll race my RC car against you... if I can get it running in time.... Need to rebuild a shock....

It must be nice to be able to take off work and just run to Texas... School sucks..... All apart of life I guess. One day I'd like to meet some of y'all and maybe do a build on my car. Nothing too crazy but maybe 600 rwhp. Love reading this thread and watching everything. Myleftft, you have an amazing car for sale and if love to buy it, of course I spent my cash on my '13 l99. I know I'm just a kid at 16, but I do know a lot of people building and looking, I have mentioned you car to a couple of people and shown it to them. I hope you can get many videos of Brandi running and post em here for everyone to see. Love the car and wish everyone good luck at the mile.

Thanks for all that, and....... I know you've heard this a thousand times, but I'll throw it out there anyway... At 16' I'm guessing you're a sophomore or jr , concentrate on math and sciences, go to college and get an engineering degree, the discipline of engineering isn't so important, and it won't be long before you'll be able to take time off and go and do... And be able to afford itI know lots of people that are unemployed with liberal arts degrees...

Another option very common in your area is do like I did, go offshore and literally work you ass off and make a go of it... The pay is amazing, the work is hard and very physical, but the time off and money is nuts... My deal is I waited until I retired from the fire service before going out there... Not the best way but it worked for me...

Now back to the subject at hand, headed to Simpson to see about a HANS device, then out to Corey's ranch to get my trailer, and to load Brandi this evening for a trip to Kerrville tomorrow.. Meeting an old friend from the fire dept and then Pete from Pedders for an alignment...

Well I'm just a little more than double your age, at 16 I was driving a 1970 Mach 1 that I started restoring when I was 14, the car was older than I was. Of course it helps when your Dad has a Hot Rod shop with all the tools & equipment you need. Nothing is gonna come for free, it takes alot of hard work & setting some goals for what you want to do down the road. I got married, worked, started my own busines, worked, bought a home, worked, had kids, still working, I've got 5 weddings to pay for, yeah I have 5 daughters! Find a good woman with the same goals in life to support you. Nothing comes easy or will be handed to you, pick a career, do what you gotta do to get there, then be better than everyone else once your there, the rewards will come. Damn! You just made me feel old, I just went all old guy & lectured a Youngone!
