Tubs are a thought, I'll try to get some usage out of my current driveline prior to changing it out again... Besides, I don't need bigger tires than I'm getting for high speed runs...

Robert have you ever tried to email some folks in GM to see if it's possible to get wind tunnel testing on our cars?
I thought i remember you wrapped it before you ran, because others have actually had the front top lip accordion over. I was just thinking other ways to get speed, without loosing balance or stability with closeout panels or lack of panels??

I'm sure they have done wind tunnel testing, but not to 200 + mph... but you never know, One of the moderators on here actually worked with a company that did some wind tunnel testing... Our's is trial and error and talking to others that go fast... Pete from Pedders has been a great help... He has a lot of experience and great contacts...

Have you looked at more weight savings throughout the vehicle? I.e. Airbags, body panel and frame cutouts?

I hear all airbags can save you 37 lbs. If someone has done this and weighed them is a different story!

Your still limited on what style or brand of rim that can accommodate the bigger CTSV 6 Piston design!

I was looking at the big brakes on Mikes ZL1 today, and my new wheels would not fit over them... diameter would be fine, but I'm not sure about the offset and wheels lips...

and Mike, thanks for letting me drive that absolutely amazing piece of machinery..

My pleasure... it was a fun visit. The Brakes on the rear are no different than the SS and I bet the offset wouldn't be much different all the way round. If you clear diameter wise I'd think it would work. JMO

Hey Bro, welcome to the thread... I sent one guy your way... Hope that works out for you... even if he is a few months out from affording some wheels... Seemed like a nice dude...

I got this really really big brake... so I plan on staying with what I have.... I'm not autocrossing or anything... though if I ever decide to run some unlimited open road races I may have to look at something different...

And you guys heard it here... Texas Mile Specials on wheels...

Call or Pm Mike... He'll hook you up...

Mike, I've seen some pics of new wheels posted on the TF page... Any chance of getting a few of mine posted as they go through the process... You or Steve could post them on my FB page...

As for the donuts... Winchells, Dunkin or Krispi Kreme
