E85 and SCT Tune

so my question is this will the stock fuel system handle E85 with just simple bolt ons like headers, cam and intake, cat back exhaust. I have a friend that is running an 06 GTO making 630 hp to the wheels on E85 and his stock fuel system was able to handle it, the only thing that he had to add was a boot a pump because he was running out of fuel pump. So will the stock fuel system in the camaro handle 450-475hp on E85, looking for feedback from people that have experience with E85 and E85 tunes.

I ran E85 with a cam and headers the fuel system kept up the only change was to larger injectors. I used siemen deka shorty 60's

It won't be possible with the stock injectors

Was that before or after the supercharger?

Before. The stock pump was good with the cam, exhaust and E85 all i did was change the injectors and tune it. It was probably around 450-475rwhp.

Now with the blower I am running a dual pump setup.

Did the stock injectors run out of duty cycle, what was the need for new injectors was it the supercharger. The stock 47 lb/hr fuel injectors wont keep up with the demands of E85.

correct, you will max out the stock injectors with a few bolt ons and E85

with a cam and E85 I ran 60lb/hr injectors now with the blower I'm running 80lb/hr injectors (these are rated at 3bar )

Hptuners, to tune for the E85 all you need to really do is change the stoich value in the tune. You just have to know the blend if E85 you have, here in NY it changes with the seasons

If you decide to go for it let me know and I will hook you up with an E-85 tune.

Ted, can you shine a light on this for me i have talked to several people about E85 and havent got a solid answer. will the factory fuel system be able keep up with the demands of E85 with bolt on like headers, cat back, and cold air intake and a cam in the future. i have been told that the stock 47lb/hr injectors will be able to keep up, so just trying to get a solid answer. thanks.

E85 will corrode the stock fuel system and basically anything else that is plastic or rubber that it comes in contact with. You will have to change all your lines.

I think E85 did a good job of answering those questions.

If the car is all stock then yes but with a few bolt ons and a Cam NO.

I have a friend that has been running E85 for four years now and no problems with it. The car is stored winters and no problems with it he justs makes sure to run the car dry as much as he can before storage.

I personally wouldn't gamble with it.
But if you are ok with it, go for it.
