That was a car shown at the Oakland Roadster Show I believe in 2009. I believe that color green was original to the '56. If interested I'll share other sweet rides if anyone wants. Oh what the hell I'll share anyway

Impressive Mungo! You are right the green is original on that car, the color is known as Laurel Green.

Before I fixed it this is what mine looked like. And one more after it was fixed. I know I am a picture whore.

REALLY sweet such a labor of love and dedication does not go unrewarded. It is something that can be passed along to the next generation of car nuts like us. If you have children I hope they appreciate it! Thanks again for the pictures and nice talking to you.

Very nice. I noticed that you painted the windshield frame. Is that color a dark dark burgandy? It's amazing how small the wheels were in those days compared to todays cars. One that look really wierd is the wheel size on a '67-'68 Doge Charger.

It's not painted. It took time to search for the trim mounting clips. Cadillacs are hard to find parts for. Now that I have them need to find the time to put them back on. It's a Chrysler color called Deep Redwood (without the metal flake just the pearl) the roof is black. As for the wheels I agree they seem small. I get far more comments on this than the Camaro. 4 years and all I need to complete are just 2 strips of chrome. But its the journey......Right?

Cadillacs ARE classics and rare. An especially rare one is the '57 and '58 Edorado Biarritz. Check with Year One. I saw a show on speed channel ( I think it was American Hot Rod) where they brought in a bunch of Cadillacs and Year One was thinking seriously of producing after market parts like they do for other classics. I saw the former manager (can't remember his name) from Boyd Coddington and his '61 or '62 caddy. It was really sweet. Again nice ride. I remember seeing one similar to your's with whitewalls and wire wheels. I like whitewalls on those older cars. Hell even C1 corvettes had them.
