Sounds good. So how hard is it too add the radio controls? You said 15 minutes to install but what all is involved? Remove the airbag, some wiring or is it a harness that just plugs in?

Bajamoon, I believe there is a writeup in the DIY section. Looks like the trickiest part is taking the trim ring off without boogering it up. And after you get it installed and buttoned back up, afterwards you have to bring it to your dealer because your bcm needs to be re-programmed to recognize the new switch setup.

You would have to ask the dealer. Every dealer would charge a different price, hourly labor charge.

I would call a couple dealers before you buy if that's the case.

Finally got mine done this weekend. Was very easy, took my time with the trim ring. No hassles, now just have to bring it in and get the BCM programmed. Thanks Gene, and Patrick.

Well...... My install of the parts went great. I brought the SS in to get the BCM reprogrammed. And it's still there and of course the TCSC closes down at 5pm , so the dealership got a rental for me. Figures that's just my friggin luck.

Edit: Turns out the problem was with the dealership's laptop. They used a different laptop this morning and this time the download didn't timeout. Am sooooo glad I got my baby back today.

For those of you that have had this added: Are you happy with the mod and are you using it as much as you thought you would? I'm thinking of ordering one for my 1SS, but not sure how useful it'll be. It doesn't seem to be very user friendly. I have them on my truck and had them on my grand Prix and I used them to death because they were both in a very accessible location, doesn't seem to be the case with the camaro. Any thoughts?

If you've used them a lot in other vehicles you will in the Camaro as well. I use them every time I'm in the Camaro. Just used them today!
