Just out of curiosity why are you unable to get the module but can get the bluetooth antenna. I am going to assume the GM will not actually allow you to get it for consumers.

The module they only giveus on an exchange basis where we send back the old identical one. As far as the antenna we can get it because it is not a "restricted" item. Right now we can only get the modules under warranty concerns with supply of a vin and we have to send back the bad one or for fire or wrecked cars where we still have to send back the destroyed one

They usually ship in about 2-3 days time often. Stock comes in and goes out so its hard to say what it will be one minute to the next but worst cast is 4-5 days as there is no backorder

what does the antennea do? is it necessary to have the OnStar module or will adding the bluetooth antenna be enough? I already have the steering wheel controls from you guys and have them installed. My next thing is to get the PDIM so I can connect/charge my iPod and use the radio/steering controls. I would like to have the added benifit of bluetooth though if I ever want to use that to stream my music so is it possible to do so with just the bluetooth antenna? I have a 2011 LS.

For music streaming you would need the PDIM, and that kit comes with all you need. For bluetooth telephone you would need to replace the VIU which we can not supply

No they do not add bluetooth just the radio controls
