Could they call it CAMARO ZR-1 ??
I think that might just be most acceptable!
![]() It rolls off the tongue just right.....for the new breed and generation! Camaro ZR-1

I must be smoking something. For some reason i thought it said, production was going to start in January of this year, when i 1st saw this about 2 to 3 weeks back lol Almost went awhole month thinking this bad boy was already in production, then i come and see it again and i finally see this thread lol
Idk if ill be able to hold off and wait till this car comes out, i might jump the gun and go after a GT500, Boss 302, 5.0 GT (call me crazy but i really love the look of these new 2010+ model Mustangs) or a Ls3 M6 SS Maro (if dealers drop the price tags a bit, not paying the 37k and up prices im seeing for them).

![]() On the other hand...if we get wheels with a drastic concave design like those found on the SSX...the offset could be enough to put the edges of the wheels/tires perfectly flush with the wheel-well flares and allow that extra room on the inside of the car. Remember...whether they put ridiculously wide tires on it or not...these guys built the car. When push comes to shove, they can do anything they want to it.

I bet they lighten the overall weight of each corner... I'm also thinking 275's on the front and 315's on the back. IMHO.

If this car is HP they best make it 600++ HP due to Zeta platform. Dis thang will rule for a few years til the real Z comes out. And, it will still be below this in total horsepower IMO. But it will weigh less.
WHAT I WILL BE LOOKING FOR ON Wednesday: 1. Iconic? 2. Historial? 3. Respect Lagacy of Camaro? 4. How much technology has been transferred from mules to final street version? 5. Engineering and delivery of FORM and FUNCTION. 6) And COST per / hp. I'll be looking at every aspect of it from those standards. Hope you will. Lets Talk Wed!

The Z06 comes with 315's stock, and I don't see GM making a Camaro with stock tires wider than a Corvette... I do hope I'm wrong though.

I thought the Vette came with 335's or is that just the ZR-1?

I think Australia has many other cars they'd be interested in and already have. CAMARO has roots in Australia, and I'm not sure how popular it would be, in light of what already appears to be a stronger RWD market.

"Based on those tire widths, if that isn't a typo, I'm suspecting the Z28 will either have wider body panels or a mini-tub on the rear. Hoping for the wider panels ala Z06.
Please let it be a mini tub. That would be sweet!! Nothing crazy mind you, just enough to stuff some meats under it.

Based on spy photos and information from the dealer's meeting, I feel it will have Goodyear 285 fronts and 305 rears without any body or tubbing modifications. A heat extractor hood, heavy duty axles, lowered suspension, new grill, larger rear spoiler and 585HP.
Or I could really be off and they introduce a Camaro station wagon!
