I apologize if I've missed it, but have we seen any of the deep concave CF5 yet?

Tony:
How does the finish hold up on these wheels? I am thinking about the CF5 in textured gunmetal or textured black with jetstream blue (ZR1 blue) pinstripe. I want to have wheels that have a sturdy finish.

Here is what I'm thinking...

18x11 rear (with 315s if possible... do the 555r tires come in 315s?)
and
20x9 front

I'm not sure what tires to put on the front. I would go with whatever you recommend.

You need a 305/45R18 Drag Radial. Im not sure about the 315 but I know they make the 305. Its what I plan to run. I hope this is just for the track days as it would look weird to be running around with 18's and 20's all the time. Not to mention handle funny. You could get 6 wheels. 20 X9" for the front with 20X11" on the rear and then (2) 18" wheels for the track days. I would recommend 275/40ZR20 for the front on a 20 x 9" wheel. 315/35R20 on a 20 x 11" wheel. Use a 305/45R18 Nitto NT05R for the track days on a 18" wheel.

There are others who have put 18s on the back and 20s on the front and I don't think it looks bad at all.
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125456

But, I have found that it's not easy to get 315s on the back with 18" wheels. I do LOVE the look of 315s on the back of the car. (I'm running 315s on 22" wheels right now.)

What I really want is to have tires/wheels on the car that will serve very well on the street and be okay to use on the occasional track day. I won't be going to the track often enough to justify a set of track wheels.

Terri, the newer Forgestars are powdercoated to order. The earlier batch of pre-colored ones from 2010 inventory are painted. All of the 20s now are powdercoated, since we ran out of colored cores. Most of the 18s are painted. Coating is durable, but pinstripes are painted on and likely not as tough to resist chips as powdercoat.

I doubt the 12s will fit. Most people aren't going any wider than 11 in this wheel.

NVMYSS,

We offer the 20x12 for guys that might have a wide-body kit and would like to fill in that fender in real well, but no the 20x12 will not fit a stock camaro only the 20x11. Please do contact us next time you might have a question about the wheels we offer.

Thanks,

Bryan

I've only sold two sets of silver F14s so far, not really a popular color. I haven't seen them on a silver car yet, sorry. It would look killer though, no doubt.

I think they stopped the titanium for 2011.. Its a shame because I think it was one of the best finishes.

Sent you a PM Tony. Opinions on Matte Black or Textured Black for my Crystal Red CTS-V? I stole the wheel pics from a Textured Black picture posted here.

The CTS-V photoshop looks great! I prefer textured black a little more over matte black, it has a slight sheen to it and seems very low maintenance to clean.

By the way, the CF5 cores in 18" have arrived. Perfect for making drag wheels with.

18x9, 18x10, and 18x11 cores - plenty in stock!

I don't have the weights on Bogarts/Welds, as I don't carry those. I'd assume those would be a tiny bit lighter, due to them being forged aluminum material. Weights for the CF5 wheels should be comparable (a tiny bit lighter) than the F14 weights posted on the first thread here.
