I'm working on that one...I promise...I've gotten a lot of pms and posts on the subject. No one had ever asked me before who made them...so I was unprepared. As I told someone else...I was a lot more concerned with how the switch was going to look inside than with what brand they were going to use. So I tried to call Quantum and get the correct answer but they've been closed all week.

We are in the middle of the biggest winter event that we've had here in Dallas in over 30 years....with a SuperBowl no less in two days. We are totally unprepared for this and our town is shut down...lol.

When I get the right answer...I will post it...along with a sound clip...I haven't forgotten anyone.

Very nice car Envy! I see we share a taste in hoods. You've done well to keep the mods clean and nothing over the top. Well done!

How you like them, do they leak, etc!
I missed this question. I love my cut-out's soooooo much. It's so cool to have the header sound all the time and that all out obnoxious roar when I want it. I'm not sure that the sound would be the same without the headers though.

And no...the cut-outs do not leak at all. Occasionally...if I don't hold the button down long enough to disengage them...they don't close all the way. But it's easy to tell (you can hear it...lol) and all you have to do is hit the button again.

I for one love your car! And if you get a second could you pm me the price specs about your side scoops? Those and a spoiler (if I could pick one) are on my list... After I upgrade my brakes, and do my headers/tune. lol. And to me, if your car has the lights, the rims, and such... Then its an RS, tell everyone complaining to shove it. (Which you have done a very nice job of doing, I cracked up everytime)

Like some have said about, haters are going to hate. They are just jealous to see a girl with a better looking car than theirs, I get it alot too. Just brush them off.
Hey there Rabbit...nice to see you too. Two Texas girls doing it right!

Thanks for your comments...I am very proud of Envy...and you'll love the attention the scoops get Daisy too.

But I do have a comment on a V6 brake upgrade. I also wanted to upgrade to the brembos until I read what Car and Driver said in their June 2010 issue. They felt that the V6 brake system was a better brake system than the V8 Brembo system. So save yourself some money and slap some body matching caliper covers on Daisy and be done with it. Only if I add considerably more hp to Envy...like twin turbos...will I do a brake upgrade. Otherwise, I don't think it's necessary...and until then...I'm saving my money for other mods.

As far as the RS thing goes...I didn't and don't even care. Some people seem to think RS means gold plated or something. I wouldn't have even written RS in my 1st post had I known someone was gonna freak out about it...lol. That being said...I am always going to defend myself if someone attacks my character.

And Rabbit...I'm very glad to see that your mom taught you well. I know I'm older than she is and I learned a long time ago that if you ignore the haters...they will take care of themselves. (Self-destruct...lol)

So here's what Envy looked like this morning. Unfortunately the garage is already full so poor Envy had to sit outside and freeze her butt off. Even her scoops were full of snow. :(

After some of the snow melted off this afternoon, I tried to do an on/off video clip while she sat still but the snow was so high around her that it muffled the sound and actually made the headers sound quieter when they were dumping between the front wheels since it was so far away from the camera.

Here is a sound clip I found from right after the GFX were installed. I never posted it because the muffler tips were vibrating against the GFX surrounds when she idled and it sounded terrible. I didn't even know the exhaust was making that noise until I heard the clip. The car was back at the shop getting new tips the next day...so problem solved.

I remote start the car....at about 42 sec. I open up the cut-outs...if you listen closely...you can hear the noise they make when they open...then I close them at 1 min. 2 sec. and rev the engine one last time before shutting it off.

It isn't great but it will have to do until I get some better ones.

Here are pictures of my Lloyds custom floor mats in the front, rear and trunk. I got the green stitching on the black mats. I did not get the green vinyl edging because it is a lime green and not a match with the SGM. If I had it to do over again...I might have gotten the dark gray instead of the black. (It's hard to say whether I'd rather the mats match my black leather seats or the less than black GM carpet.)

I thought Camaro5 was a Camaro discussion forum. And I thought that I was sharing pictures of my car and its modifications with fellow enthusiasts.

You, sir, sound like a real d-bag referring to my car or any Camaro as an RS clone. It's an appearance package not a performance package. There is a difference. Why would anyone want to clone an RS? Just putting the two terms (RS clone) next to each other makes you sound ridiculous.

Do you really think that the RS package adds any real value to your car? Enough value to make it worth faking...come on. Although it does add a small amount of value in the short term on a used Camaro. In the long term, it ain't worth squat...so get over yourself.

I joined this site 9 months ago when I bought my car, but I haven't spent any time here because of members like you and blaSSt, You two really represent the Lone Star Camaro Club well. Attacking a local person over such a petty issue...because why? Because I didn't join your club or just because I have the nerve to build a car thats nicer than yours?

I am here because I have received quite a few pms from various site members here asking questions about my car so I wanted to start this thread and answer everyone's questions. I have no interest in getting into a pissing contest with the two of you. Please just leave me alone and give me a chance to answer real questions for people who are interested in modifying their Camaro. I will finish up my first and probably my last thread here and then I'll move along. It was a pleasure hearing from you though. See ya at Cars & Coffee.
Envy,

As the new President of Lone Star Camaro Club, I apologize for the comments that GearheadSS and others made in regards to your car. We at Lone Star Camaro do not condone bad comments regarding other member's cars. We believe that everyone has their own taste in colors, options, etc. and should be able to express that in his/her own way. Please accept My Apology on behalf of Lone Star Camaro Club. I would hope that all of our members would keep any negative comments (their opinions) to themselves as to not hurt the feelings of fellow Camaro owners.

Keith

You should've made it Camaro RS on the Lloyd Mats to really piss those who say your car isn't a "Real RS". Either way I like it and I was just taking another look at the car it gets better each time. Keep it Up!

There's nothing wrong with you...Synergy Green does really grow on people. I've seen it happen first hand...lol.
It can be truly mesmerizing...especially when the light hits it at night.

Here's a picture that I took of Envy at night time back in December...it's one of my favorites.

I admit that I HATED the color when it first came out. But for lack of another green, it has grown on me.
