I agree. Buy a new car and destroy it, not something that can't be replaced! It usually happens in the crapiest movies too! PLEASE STOP!

Ummm, only if I could find one cheap, I do not care what it looks like, I just want one and restore it. I agree, they all need to be saved.

I agree...

But yet some people complained about the poor green Camaro in the "Canada's Worst Drivers" videos.

I'll sign that! The first thing I thought the other day when I watched the the premiere of The Walking Dead, was the intro they wrecked a vintage GTO was WHY! Surely they could have found a 1998 toyota laying around to trash!

Honestly, it pains me to watch some of these "racing" movies because of the abuse and destruction some classic cars are put through.

Granted, many might be outright replica or barely working salvage cars prettied up for the big screen, but still. This, along with the 70 year olds driving 15 under in high end sports cars are among the worst things I hate seeing classy cars subjected too.

Using replicas is probably a whole lot cheaper for the movie studios

Just go to YearOne, you can practically build an entire 1st gen Camaro using that site

SIGNED. However, replicas are a different story. Alot of movies utilize replica cars for the destruction scenes

And come on guys, Mustangs are muscle too. Camaro FTW every single time, but let's not let ANY American muscle go down the drain for no reason, huh?

Especially since you can practically BUILD a brand new classic Camaro through Year One or Classic Industries.

Very few decent cars get used, and if they do they're used for the 'glamour shots'. Most of the time if they destroy something they'll use a car thats already beyond repair and dress it up so that it looks like the Yenko or whatever. Generally, the cars they buy don't even run and they replace the engine with a crate or junk yard motor. Or just skip the engine all together and tow it for the stunts.

Its a whole lot cheaper to slap some bondo and paint on a dozen rusted out wrecks than it is to buy a single pristine car.

can we also make a petition to keep Nicolas Cage from playing roles as "the bad ass"? he doesn't fit the part, he fits in the role of nerdy history buff (national treasure movies) you cant be a nerd and a bad ass, i dont see Jason Statham cracking open any history books, only cracking heads. lets leave those roles for people like him, not Cage.

k thanks
