I must be one of the lucky one's. I've had these great people sign my car.
An everytime someone asks," Whats with the Signed car", I just say it was Big Dog's of GM.

OK --------------this thread continues to get more and more interesting.........

SOMEWHERE -- I have a copy of the build docs for your 2002 -- you see, I decided that I was going to print off the last 100 or so........

Now - I'm headed for San Francisco (NADA convention) early this morning - and I'll be gone a week. When I get back - I'll go into my records in the basement - (they're next to Jimmy Hoffa and Amelia Erhardt's flight helmet...)

.........and see if I can't find them.....and if I do - I'll need your mailing addy so that I can send you a copy.............

I just feel so bad that you lost your pride and joy - I very much remember talking with you and I could see the pride and enthusiasm you had for your new Camaro. You have a great 2002 - and I just hope that as you get older, you'll be able to get yourself a new Camaro every couple of years.

Not sure what would possess your father to do what he did - but I also know that there is a reason for everything............

Wow as amazing as this story is, it really breaks my heart at the same time.
Glad atleast the Camaro is in good hands, and hey who knows, maybe you can buy that camaro back from her one day later. It was built on your birthday...things have a way of coming back to you in the end
To the new owner, Congrats on your camaro, shes one hell of a star with a great history behind her. Shes been taken care of really well.

first off, AWESOME THREAD!

second, Congrats to dsirmans on her new car

Dan, congrats on the 2002 Z28... I'm a little biased, though, and here's why

dont ever let anyone tell you that pewter isn't a cool color like black or SOM... we've got one of both of the "cool" colors, and my 2002 is still the fastest one in our stable

Very nice Z28 and C5 Vette! That Z28 looks strangly familiar What wheels are they?

BTW..pewter definitely is a "cool" color. For some reason I hate it on any other car except for the Camaro and Corvette. But on the Camaro and Vette it's my second favorite color after red of course

This is a great thread! dtm4192, I think I remember reading the thread about your Dad. It made me think about "what if" I was in your position. Atleast you have a sweet Z28 now and hopefully in the future you can get another 5thgen. Hey, where did you stash that letter? Thats also very cool

OP, gratz on your new Camaro! I bet your sons want to drive it? hhahahaha
