CEL

I'm not doing headers bc I don't want to void warranty with the tune. I installed a SLP LoudmouthI axle-back exhaust and now want it louder..
-Does a HF cat make a difference?
-If I install a HF cat will it throw a CEL, and I'm assuming installing a HF cat will NOT void warranty(correct me if I'm wrong). bc it doens't call for a tune?

There's been numerous users here that have stated noticing a difference in sound and performance when installing high-flow cats. There are 4-400 cell cats on the car. High flow cats are 200 cells, if I'm not mistaken.

Somebody told me that if I were to just replace the cats themselves, that it would throw a CEL. Although, people who have installed the JBA midpipe have said that they have not gotten a CEL.

If something happens to your car, the dealer would have to prove that it was the high-flow cats that caused the problem.

I have the Solo HF Cats. No CEL yet. If you do a search you will find the info you are looking for.

In the upper right hand corner you will see the word search. Click on that and enter high flow cats. You will be reading for the next few hours.

That was mine concern as well. I contacted Solo and with thier spacers they do not throw a CEL.

There is a thread about it.
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...t=solo+exhaust

If you goto thier site they explain it more..I think
