Crazy Idea?

I had a crazy idea that may or may not work or look right, so time to ask the experts. I have always loved the look of a two tone 5th gen. Since I have a victory red, I would want to keep it red on the bottom and gloss black on the top.
My idea is to have vinyl or some other type overlay product on the hood, roof and deck lid. That way down the road if I had to sell, I would have the option to sell it either way. Also this should be much, much cheaper then a custom paint job.
Do you guys think this would look cheap or do you think it could be done right? My idea would be to have the break follow the hood line down the door panel cutting it about the window, up the "hips" to the back of the car. Bascily the vertical parts of the car would be red, and the horizontal parts would be black. I hope that made sense. Please any input would be greatly awesome.

I was hoping someone else had already tried it out. Or that someone would know a better product then standard vinyl.

i work at a sign shop you can use standard vinyl if you arnt doing a ton of compound curves but they do make a diffrent vinyl that is made to wrap cars if you are just doing the top part of the car i would think with some time and a heat gun you could get away with using normal vinyl. but that is the only option i know of becides paint

Do you have any idea what the cost would be for that much vinyl. I would probably end up getting sheets for each area, say a sheet for hood, for front fenders, roof, etc. that way I don't have to try to figure out how to cut it out from one big sheet. So I guess what would be a ball park idea for the material? I would probably hire the body guy who put on my current vinyl to install it, only problem is he is a rustang guy, but at least he like pony cars.

Thanks for the help brother. The piece that scares me the most is coming down the c post onto the top of the rear quarters to the break of the deck lid. It may even have to go up the a post, across the top of the door and then down. I am going to try to use the natural breaks, where pieces meet for the joints.
