Check engine light
My car has the check engine light on and I want to get it turned off. I installed ARH and CAI right after I got it and the light has been all the time since. I don't want to take it all off to get the light out. I'm going to sell or trade the car off and I don't want the light on. Thanks in advance for the help and advice.

Might be your 02 sensor bank 2. Rear sensors. Just have the car tuned and you'll love the way it runs and wont want to sell it

If its a 01/01 sensor or a 02/01 sensor the issue is before the CATs. Not to worry though, hopefully. Chances are that the sensor(s) have gone bad due to the burn off of residure inside the headers during their initial firing. In other words, the residue that the headers had inside them for storage/shipping burnt off and coated the sensor tips. Try replacing them and you might be surprised to find that you can keep all of the emissions working properly, especially if they are checked in Washington!
If it is a xx/02 sensor it is after the CATS and, as stated above, you can tune them out as they do not have anything to do with the fuel/O2 mixture by the computer. It only reads the input for adjustments from the front O2 sensors.

Needs a tune/tuner. I had a customer complain about the same thing. Had a shop do the headers and the light was on right after.Came to us a month later and on our first scan we found the pass. side 02 was junk from them torching it out of the old exhaust. That month he waited was gas washing the pass. side of the motor.

I had same issue when I installed at cai, set of clear image long tubes and high flow cats....I tried the low-tech method and disconnected the battery at the positive terminal under the hood after I drove about 100 miles to see if the ecu would "learn" the changes, it didn't work. I then disconnected the battery in the trunk and after only 5 minutes reconnected it. The light went off, have not seen it since (about another 100 miles). I have done both normal driving and hard pulls to about 6100 rpm and so far, so good....

installed my Volant cai last week. Then it snowed so I didn't get a chance to drive much since the night i installed it. Drove today finally and my CEL came on. Checked all connections and it seems pretty tight. I just unhooked my battery and I'll let you know in a half hour or so if that made the light disappear.
