Question Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

I am ready to spring for a new exhaust but am not sure which one to get. I have it down to JBA Axle back, Borla Atak, or SLP Loudmouth 2. If anyone has some insight about this please help me out!!! If you have sound bites that would be awesome also.

The ATAK is gonna be loud, especially if you have headers...I have headers which is why I went with the SLP loudmouth II and it's still maybe slightly louder than I thought it would be....depends on what you want.

I tuned a Gen5 with JBA headers and exhaust. I really liked the way it sounded and looked.

But do yourself a favor, go to a car shows and talk to the owners who have aftermarket systems. They love starting their cars for guys that have interest. Talk to them about drone and if they have it. Then based on that, buy your system so we dont read about "a like new exhaust system for sale" in three months.

Even if you hear a system on the internet off your computers speakers, its a differant sound in person.

big flow system

Okay thinking about the big flow headers from Texas made in USA and polished stainless. Hopefully have a write up page to review when done.

I just straight piped my mufflers , sounds amazing. I'd advise checking the videos on it. Cost me $125 and I gotta say it was the best thing i have done to date.
And if it turns out you don't like it , you're only out $100-$150 instead of 500+ for axle back or $1000+ for cat back. Many people have said there isn't much HP to be gained by exhaust mods behind the cat anyway.

Gotta disagree. I heard the atak catback headers in person. Sounded great but I prefer the axleback because I left the h-pipe in place instead of the x-pipe with the catback. The h-pipe gave it a choppyer more old school tone to it. The x-pipe sounder smoother. Both sound great but I prefer the sound of the h-pipe.

I have a few close friends that all have diffrent exhausts and I have the mufler delete. I spent the least amout of money and all of them agree that they should have done the delete. All your paying for is the name, but if name brands are what your goin for, ide say go with Borla. Corsa is a waste and sounds just like stock.

I just installed a Borla ATAK catback system and it sounds freakin' awesome! Below is the link to the thread where I posted my video sound clip. If your computer speakers have a subwoofer, it really helps to correctly hear the exhaust note. It shakes my walls!!!

You could also start with the SLP LM2 Axle back and then later add the SLP powerflo X crossover. Rather than trying to come up with $1200 for a cat back up front you can split it into two purchases.
