I dont think so. I have the Magnaflow comp series axle back which is the same thing and I really like it and have no noticable drone.

Yes their is drone unless you add the Hemholtz style pipe in parallel with the exhaust. a quick search will pop up what people have done to eliminate that problem. I believe 28" was the length used...

Drone is very minimal on the LS3 anyhow. I don't notice it much more than stock exhaust cruising at 80-85 mph. Best $125 spent on this car yet!

It was nice with a little drone until you get LT's then the drone is horible at 1800 - 2000 RPM range

Muffler Delete

Just had this done last week. I have the L99 and had the resonator and mufflers hacked off, straight cheap-a$$ pipe to replace the missing garbage and... AWESOME!!

Really sounds nice. Sounds even better when I use the tap-to-shift.

I will be going with an x-pipe, CAI and tune later on. Gotta kill the AFM. Sounds like a$$ when she shifts from 8 to 4cyl.

BTW, It is loud. My neighbor (across the street) informed me that he knows everytime I'm leaving my house.

Is there any performance gains with a muffler delete or is it pretty much just sound?

maybe a little because of less restrictive flow but not enough to even think about it.

exhaust modifications are 98% sound and 1% looks and 1% performance. The way i see it anyway. Not counting LT's or High Flow Cats.
