I congratulate you and the throngs of other Camaro enthusiasts who got their wish in GM offering the ZL1 with an automatic transmission. I do this begrudgingly however because,

1: I was proven wrong

2: Hypothetically a "not necessarily a car guy" with 55k(?) can die, fall on the pedal and own me in the quarter now. -Should be a snooty bouncer posted at the showroom guarding ZL1's IMO.

3: I wasn't right.

LS3s just got demoted on the totem pole and we have to deal with the view whatever it may be.

....time to start saving.

Assuming GM is watching this thread, I would like to thank you for making a very wise decision, I believe this will allow you to take more control over this market. Not just from us current camaro owners, but I think this will pull buyers in from other makes that do not offer a auto in their high performance cars.

Thank you GM... Great for us fans!

You've done a good thing here. Very good. Thank you for removing the exclusivity of a manual. It tells us you really do care about your customers. Though we know you Camaro designers, marketers, technicians, and customer service people all REALLY do care! Thank you so much.

(My wife has mixed feelings...because you just removed her only real resistance to us getting it!.... but thanks!)

This thread is too long already for me to read it all to see if my answer is amongst all these personal opinions no one else really cares about. What I want to know is if the new GM EIGHT speed automatic will be making it into the ZL1 before long. Surely this will cause fifteen comments with no usable info but I am asking anyway in case anyone here knows about the new tranny's timing, etc. thnx!
