Re-Tune needed?

Adding an ADM scoop and also thinking about getting a ported thottle body.

I am guessing it will be fine but I wanted to get some other opinions on this. I already have the Roto-fab W/W reservoir kit and the scoop is on order. Have not ordered the TB yet.

Will the addition of a scoop and ported TB require a re-tune?

I did not plan on getting another tune until I did a H/C swap.

Just wanting to squeeze out a couple more ponies if I could without doing the H/C swap yet.

thanks

If you had an automatic, I'd say yes... I maybe wrong about that though... I don't have much experience with tuning automatics, but I believe it will throw off your shifting

Manual, I wouldn't bother.

I figured it would be fine...but just looking for some input to be sure.

thanks

You're probably running a little leaner, but you should be fine. I didn't get my car re-tuned for my Vmax TB. But if thing go as expected, I'm getting an FTI converter and a re-tune on the 21st of the month.

All the tuners I spoke with told me I'd be fine. The guy that does the porting at Vmax told me there really isn't enough of an increae in airflow to really cause an issue.
He said that he has only heard of a couple tuned cars out of hundreds that have had tuning issues after running a ported TB.

But money or time not being an issue, most would prefer to get their car tuned for every new mod. But just adding a ported TB or a different CAI setup, you don't necessarily need a new tune.
