At the drag strip, with my Droid at shot gun.

I did a test run on the streets with my Droid a week ago, So today I did a few recordings at the race track. Here are a few runs that came out pretty good.

So far these runs have been my best as of to date. I am not a pro racer in the least bit. I just started to drag race about 9 months ago. With all the power adders I have done, I have had to relearn how to handle the car.

Right now my car has, DynaTech Headers, DynaTech high flow cats, Cold Air Inductions intake, Borla S-Type cat back exhaust, Ted Jannetty Racing Custom Tune package, and Nitto 555R 305/45/18 Drag Radials

Location: Southwest International Raceway, Tucson AZ.
Elevation: 3075ft.

Very nice videos. The Droid quality is great, nice and steady, clear and good sound. How did you mount it? I have an IPod for videos that I like, but all I know is how to hold it by hand.

Runs are good as well, for altitude. 110 traps are great.

Here are some of my old GTO videos that might give you some ideas:

Good luck! Padre

Very nice video. That droid did a fine lil job there. I really like the simplicity of the editing, it allowed for a "real" feel to the vids. The car sounds great, the shifts were nice. It allowed for a little taste of what it's like dragging the car. I am seriously thinking about taking my SS out this summer to heat things up at the drag strip. Your video is pushing me in the right direction.

tks

I explain my set up on this thread.

Thanks for the link, I'll look at that. I'm always up for some tips.

I think right now I need to add some RPMs to the start, short shift around 5800, and a little power shift to go with that too...it's a lot for me to think about, I'm just taking one step at a time and then will put it together.

I can't wait for the drag Strip to open up in March to do some runs in my SS. I had fun running in my V6 last year.

Hey Padre.
Good to see you over here in Camaro5. I remember you from the GTO forums. Its nice to see former GTO owners in the forum. We have quite a few. I previously owned an 05 and 06 GTO and go by BLACK05GTO over in LS1GTO.com

Ha! For some reason, as I was reading some of your posts (e.g. the Nurburgring thread and wheel weights), I was thinking to myself, "I like this guy, he thinks like me."

Now I know why: a fellow Goat-man.

See you around Camaro5. I'm going racing in Steele, AL this afternoon to get some stock (Borla cat-back only) times.
