What do all the abbreviations mean?

Well I'm still pretty new to all this Camaro stuff as I've had mine for like 2 weeks now. I'm just wondering what all these abbreviations used on the forums mean? Ex. L99, LS3, ect. I know A6 and M6 are for the auto/manual V6 but that's about as far as my knowledge goes. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I tend to feel lost reading some posts.

A6 and M6 refer to the six speed trans, not the v6 engine.

Typically it was Luxury Touring as far as the option package went but LT can also be applied to GM motors.

These are RPO (regular production option) build codes. GM has used them for years on all their brands. Just Google "GM RPO Codes" and see what pops up. Some of the more common ones are the engine codes which always start with "L", as in LS3 or L99. L88, LS6, LT1, etc. Transmissions are always "M" codes as in M60, MT1, M21, M22, etc. Axles and gears are "G" codes, Suspensions are "Z" codes. Find your build sheet in your vehicle and you will see all the different RPO codes. In the 5Gen Camaros its under the trunk carpet on the left side next to the spare tire well.
