Bud Shootout

I think the most exciting part of the race last night was seeing the Camaro Pace car.

I was looking forward to the 500, but after last nights race I am not so sure. Maybe a larger field will prevent 8 wheel cars.

i kinda liked it , at least there werent 20 cars in each line nose to tail for 490 miles---and at the end there were 4 that pulled a little gap on the rest--a lot of passing and stratagy when switching lead cars--i give it a 9.5

The two car drafts were a wee bit more exciting than a 20 car freight train going around for 74 laps with a last lap dash wreck fest.

The shootout reminded me of last season's race at Talladega. It was the same 2 car break-away situation. There were so many lead changes, it was more interesting than the typical freight train scenario that you usually see. I figure it will be the same in the 500, and could be quite entertaining.

I used to be a big NASCAR fan, but since i cant really tell the cars apart aside from a sticker, I lost interest. If they bring back the "stock" look (as the did in the Busch/ Nationwide) like the Camaro, Challenger and Mustang. I will start to watch more. Now I mainly watch Grand AM, Ausie V8 supercars and Touring cars. Much better to look at.

Seems like I read something recently that this is being considered for 2013 for the Sprint Cup series. Last season I started watching the Grand Am races, also. They are good to watch.

Yes there is talks, but in those talks Chevy wanted to have the Impala not the Camaro , but we will see, it still a ways out yet.

Yeah, ok. I did not remember which model GM was considering. I think it would be good for NASCAR and especially the Cup series to go with the Camaro, Mustang, and Challenger.
