Side gill accents?

Is there any discussion of chrome accents for the "Gills" on the side of the Camaro? Accenting them on my '69 makes it look great.

I've been really thinking about doing something to the "gills". I really would like them to be functional but can't bring myself to have them cut out. Airbrushing was mentioned in another thread and I think it could be done with class. BUT the one thing I didn't think about was accenting them with chrome. And you know that "Chrome may not get ya home, but it could get ya laid"! Thanks for the idea.

Where did you find these? Are they just photoshoped or an actual product that is planed for the 2010?

we have discussed it in the past. they are not going to be open gills. but we have discussed putting black vinyls on the slits. cutting them (tho that would require some extra work). and just adding accents like those posted above from a 1st gen.

Something to make them pop would be sweet...

(i think chrome with the black or cyber gray would look amazing)

Black vinyl is another great idea. If after a while you don't like them, you can simply remove them.

You can also do chrome fender trim, chrome door handles, chrome trim on the doors and trunk, chrome window visors, chrome gas cap cover, and a huge chrome "Camaro" sticker down the side. And if they come out with a police push bar you can get one of those chrome and put on the front! BLING BLING!!!!!!!

Autoguy, it appears the vent decals are cut with square corners which does not match the actual recess of the body. Why? IMO that looks cheap.

EDIT: I just realized they look ok at the bottom edge, so it might only be the angle the picture was shot at making it look that way. If so, sorry for calling them cheap.

How closely would the Dark Charcoal Metallic match up with the stock Cyber Gray Metallic stripes from GM?

I've been wondering too, but I think even if it's not an exact match it'll be ok since these inserts are so small and will be so far away from the ralleys.

Autotrimdesign's version seem to fit better, and they have a fading color scheme.

i agree... not necessarily looking (expecting) for that exact match... but hoping its gonna at least be close enough that it wont be an obvious difference from a distance.

I saw that too! Needs more attention to detail! Looks cheesy up close.
