My 2011 didn't come with the sunshade tint on the windshield, and was thinking of tinting it. Has anyone else done this?

Weird that ur windshield didn't come with it. I would be taking this up with my dealer and getting a new windshield. Tinting it will prob look like crap.

I talked to my tint guy about it before and he said that with the how low the windshield is (it really is) that it could make visibility kinda harder.

I know people who have it done on other vehicles and I dont think it looks all that great, i would prefer having a light tint done over the entire windshield if that is possible for you.

I just picked mine up today from the tint shop. 5% on all and 35% on whole winshield and it looks AWESOME!! good thing it never gets driven, I see tickets in the future

Any pics? I have %5 on all mine and I'm thinking of doing the windshield %35 also

We have 20% on the sides and 55% on the front. It looks VERY dark in these photos

Pardon the dirt, It will never look like this again but had to get the windows done, dont like driving in a fish bowl LOL.. still trying to get through the tack of 87 the dealer filled it up with :(

That front windshield is sooooo sick!!!!! I would get pulled over right away in Nebraska. That is illegal as hell here. I wish I could do that and not get a ticket.

My biggest gripe about this car they could have spent a few bucks more and used shaded solar ray type glass across the top. I hate tint strips and eyebrows so I just live with it.

So far with 40k miles not yet.

A cop did use a device on her windows and they can back illegal but since she got a speeding ticket he let her off on it.

A cop used his device on my tint and it came out to 3% all around. Pretty sure my windshield is 15% too. I got off without a ticket because I know alot of cops in the area but I do get stopped occassionally.

The factory does not come with a shade all the way across just where the rear view mirror is. I picked my car up on a Friday. Had the windshield tinted with the lightest (Solar shade) available the next day (Saturday). Looks perfect, not too dark but better than clear. Then get this. Come Monday (3 days after getting my car and 2 days after tinting) I got a crack in my windshield... it goes all the way across the windshield...

I have read post's where people have said it looks better even. brighter and clear, easier to read, some had to turn the brightness down.

Mine seems to be not as bright... Maybee because it reflects through the tint, def not brighter

Wow guys this is awesome. I need to go in and get my driver side window redone cause my dad decided when he moved my car to plow a few weeks ago that hed roll the window down before it was fully cured and dry. I may get my windshield done now. I have 35% all around but I dont have the guts to do that to the windhield. I may go 40% or 50%. Not sure bu these cars look great.

I put 5% (limo) all the way around, yes including the windshield. It is strickly a show car so I dont worry to much about the ocassional "cruise-ins". It looks awsome. I have the limo tint on all of my vehicles and I am used to it. I can see just fine out of the windshield at night. Ill post pics the next time i visit her in storage...

I had 80% ceramic tint put on the winshield. You cant even tell that it is there... but it keeps the car much cooler in the summer.

I have 20% all the way around and 70% on the whole windshield. Most people don't even know its tinted, but when you compare next to another car, you can tell its smoked lightly. Looks great. Got pulled over and the cop did not say a word. ( warning for speeding)
